With a nod to Dick Clark and a wink at Kanye West’s approaching fatherhood, ’12 has given way to ’13.

    Are you feeling lucky?

There are plenty of music acts hoping for if not luck then good fortune in the new year. Plans are still being formulated, of course, and you can be sure there will be plenty of surprises as the year unwinds.

But from our vantage point at the turn of the calendar, here are two dozen of the stories we know we’ll be paying close attention to in the coming months.

Bob Seger: He’s still working on his next album (surprised?) but the Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man plans to hit the road again this year, most likely in late winter, and rock into the spring, including some rumored shows with ...

Kid Rock: ... who kicks off his own tour to promote last year’s album Feb. 2 in Kansas City. The rumored shows with Seger — a select number, we’re told — are being determined, as are hometown dates for Rock, although he’s playing shows in Toledo (March 22), Grand Rapids (April 3) and Saginaw (April 5-6). Also on Rock’s docket this year, he says, is a re-recording of 1998’s “Devil Without a Cause” to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

Eminem: The Detroit rapper announced, via a baseball cap, that his eighth studio album will be released in 2013, though he hasn’t revealed a title or date yet. He’s also booked to play the Reading and Leeds Festivals during August in England, and we’re betting those aren’t the only shows he’ll be doing.

    ......

Removed the text on the rest of the acts, hit the link if you want to read the whole article. Saw nothing at Segar's place but interestingly enough notice EM has booked a date in August with special guests on his page.

    A three way?

    Michigan will go delirious.

My two favorite singers on the same stage?! I can't go to two concerts this year - am going to Toledo in March (stupid cancer bills) - but this would be a great Summer concert if it really happens. Maybe it would finally make it onto a DVD?

Now this would be an Awesome show for sure-saw Seger in 2011 and had so much fun at the show, took my son and he had a blast too!!! You're never too old or too young to Rock N Roll-Hell Yeah!!! :D

I took my daughter, OTB...the thing I absolutely LOVED about the Seger show is how much fun Bob looked like he was having..Oh, and of course, when Alto comes out with that Monster antique sax.. oh, and Chris Campbell's tennis shoes :)

I know what you mean loved the sax too-it was so surreal for me to see Bob Seger with my son (but when he came to our area I had to have my son see him-and it was a blast) hell I grew up on Bob Seger learning to play pool and that was in Northern CA. Bob Seger was so big with my group of friends and us playing pool and more to his music!!! :)

A Seger friend of mine sent this to my attention--YAY!!!!!
