    Will the real Cucci Galore please stand up?

    Let's take a trip back.... Waaaaaaaaaay Back !(said in my best Kid Rock voice from performances of the past with The Rev) ha :) Anyway... there's a woman who is listed on back ups for Cucci Galore that has worked with Bobby Shazaam in the past by the name of Sylver Logan Sharp. I have seen her on-stage sharing back-ups in performances from the past, and I have a feeling that this is the same lady's voice you hear when you hear: "My name is Cucci, Cucci Galore" throughout the song. A few years ago I had an opportunity to meet her. Sweet lady, very down to earth, explained to me that she had been the lead singer of Chic since the early 1990's. So, I was very excited to see her listed on Rebel Soul in Cucci Galore. Anyone who is interested in a lil history.. google her. You can find images of her, and even a few youtube videos of her performing with Chic.

I was driving my 8yr son to the dr today, gotta love pink eye ugh...anyway Cucci Galore came on & he said I like this song it makes me smile, then he starts to sing the lines "My name is Cucci Cucci Galore" I started cracking up. I do remember Chic back in the day "Le Freak" song in the late 70's, was she a member back then?

Interesting. I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the info. This was one of the songs I was on fence about at first, but it did stick in my head. I found myself singing "my name is Cucci..." at home; but had to refrain myself from humming the tune at work:)

ps... I have this crazy love thing going on about Midnight Ferry but my favorite guitar parts are in The Mirror, for sure. Especially when the song is just about to climax.. the guitar builds momentum sliding up the fret... and then explodes into this amazing set of measures... rain down on me, man "let it rain and let the guitar rock" oh for goodness sakes, shit tears me up. The sweet lil bluesy acoustic accents in it also turns me on... just a great mf'n song.

lol.. you making me laugh and get pumped up all at the same time. I feel ya on the beginning riff on 3 Catt. It's one of those parts of the song where ya gotta go back and listen to it a couple more times and look at someone and go "What the hell was that"..lol It's crazy but it fits, right..lol. Ever hear Paradime's song 'Vices' ? Piano part looping thru it is just nuts but it fits so good. Love talking music.. thanks RJ

I love that song. Don't know which lady but she has a nice voice. My favorite part of the cd is the riff before Catt Boogie. Don't know why.
