I thought I'd have my own little concert while you were on stage so I popped in Rebel Soul as I continued to bake banana bread. Yes, banana bread, that's how much I was hoping to win the tickets so I could see you, experience your soul-saving artistry in person at your show tomorrow. I would have found someone to get the bread to you and TBT (11 now, right?). Ah, the hope, the dream, but harsh reality is setting in and instead I cried during Happy New Year and a few beyond. I'm sorry. I miss you so. And, I'm a woman...my dream was fun, soul-saving, romantic, and sweet like you. I wanted to live your lyrics with you in real time. I know I'll make it through...I believe in us...and I have faith. I just wanted to be honest about how I feel and how I feel, well, I'm still crying, but I know my tears will dry. And tomorrow is a new day. Sometimes, including tonight, I feel so phenomenally trapped here in this ancient lakebed. I was hoping for a brief respite from the tribulation of my tried and true faith. Yet, I know He encourages me, for there's a little, itty bitty smidge down deep inside where I feel you through my tears and I feel better sharing all of me with you. Maybe I need a really good night's sleep, too. I'm going to head to bed shortly. I have a few things to take to the Creamery tomorrow morning.
