It’s official: Kid Rock will step on stage Aug. 20 and propel himself into Detroit’s record books.
The hometown star will announce this morning that he’s adding an
~~now that's a Saturday night
~~now that's a Saturday night fun night that don't cost much to do.... Saturday night old country, a pack of cards, and some brew. We have a radio station here that does a full night of older country music on Sats, barn parties... wait I need to build a barn..lol
Too funny. I love patsy. My
Too funny. I love patsy. My husband rolls his eyes as I go floating through the house singing crazy, or I got your picture, or out walking. I'm just whaling and I have to laugh because I can't sing but absolutely love to. Poor fella.
LOL, my Mom LOVED all of
LOL, my Mom LOVED all of those artists, and I grew up listening. I talked young, and to keep me in the crib, my Dad gave me a radio and showed me how to work it. My Mom used to laugh, because she and Dad would wake up to me BLASTING Patsy Cline and jumping around in my crib.
Blue and wtf, speaking of
Blue and wtf, speaking of country I like the old school Loretta Lynn , patsy cline, Hank, George straight , Garth brooks. If you listen back on some of Kids stuff, he'll even tell ya, he's been mixing country for a while and people act like its new. He mixes country w hip hop, and soul w rock as well as rapp. That's what made him Kid and different and it's why I'm a fan.
Yes lilolwtf that would be
Yes lilolwtf that would be totally awesome.
Yeah it's my youngest first
Yeah it's my youngest first time. He the one that usually listens to rapp so I'm hoping he does some old school stuff too.sounds nice in the mountains. Be careful out in that weather. My mom lived in the Ozark mountains and we used to visit and float or canoe down the Buffalo river or take the horses up to the cliffs, caves, and down through the river. It was fun. I would take the Kid Rock New Year over mine I think. Wait, I know. Lol
That was so sweet of your son
That was so sweet of your son.. is this his first time to see the show? I like your kinda New Years Eve, actually. I'd like to go somewhere away from where all the people are going to be... a nice evening by candle light settles well with me. But again, It's truly hard to find things to do when they just don't compare to a Kid Rock show..lol It's snowing again over here... gonna make for a treacherous drive to work tonight. We live close to the Pocono Mountains... lotta nice things to see up North but again... for NYE all prices are raised due to the demand.... can't pull myself to spend on anything. The cruise is nice... you'd love it, especially that you love the beach.
Listening to Kid old school
Listening to Kid old school right now on my way to my sons, yeah cause I'm here and I'm there, I'm Kid Rock and I'm everywhere.
I wanna go on the cruise. I
I wanna go on the cruise. I hear everyone talking bout all the fun and I'm jealous . I'm a San Diego beach girl. I was just raised in Texas but spent a lot of time on the coast and I would love to be chillin the most!
Haha, love the kid idea. My
Haha, love the kid idea. My son got me tickets to the Tulsa show and him and his wife are going but it's not until feb 9th. Still gotta get hotel room. We are pretty much at home for New Years. My husband is off but I'll be working from home both days, we live on the lake and get to do fire works and I got a bottle of champagne - pink mmmm, and a bottle of wine, and some badass fireworks left from 4th. I can work in my pjs w a lil bit of a hangover. Hangover 2 hahahaha!
That's why I say go with the
That's why I say go with the nursing career. You don't have to be a nurse on the floor. There's so many things u can do w it. And God and my career have been good to me. Can't complain or want for anything cause I have everything I need. Truly blessed just to be here!
yes maam :)
yes maam :)
So, my husband just calls me
So, my husband just calls me up from his office on the road (his work truck). He's such a sweet heart, and must of been in my head or something..lol He tells me... "I'm bummed because I didn't get to throw you a party for getting an A for the last class" that he says he promised but my treat is just being with him.. then says "didn't get to get you much for Christmas... but dammit I want us to be able to do something for New Years Eve." He always gets sentimental once we move towards New Years Eve. What sucks is he has to work Monday til 3pm in order to get the paid day off from New Year's day... whereas I have off til third shift New Year's day once I get past the next two night on 3rd. He's like, "is there any way we can drive down to Florida for his Sunday show"...lmao Pfft... I said not unless you don't wanna get paid for New Year's day bc we wouldn't make it back in time.. plus that's like spending 24 hours driving down, see the show, then 24 hours back... hmmm it could be done... but we'd be nuts to do it.
Another option for something to do on New Years eve would be Ty Stone... he's doing a show with a few people in Columbus Ohio, I believe. Again, for us it wouldn't work because it takes about 8 hours drive to get to Columbus coming from Philly, PA area... and he has to work until 3pm that day and we'd never make it there on time.
I keep trying to give him my idea of going to this oldies dance... it's the cheapest thing out there to do.. it's close to home, 25 bucks pp, byob, and they do a dinner buffet sorta thing.... but at least it's something. Poor guy don't wanna dance to a Runaround Sue and do the twist. Honestly, I don't think anything comes close to doing New Years Eve at a Kid Rock show, we all know that..lol but hey a lil finger poppin time and stroll could still at least make the night full of music and fun.
Hey, your the lucky one. Our
Hey, your the lucky one. Our kids are grown w little ones of their own. Anytime we have a spare room or dime, they are there. Lol . What are parents for ? Mine needs a we pair of boots too. I suspect that will be next on the list. Xmas busts us with 25 people to buy for then tax time. Whoo what fun. I'm thinking about taking a Christmas vacation next year or better yet buy a kid cruise as I've never been and I'm always doing for everyone else, maybe it's my time. I did get a challenger last year for me finally. That was cool. All my cars catered to kids for years. Yes, the mini van, forerunner, then finally the truck as they got older. I kept the truck. You CN never go wrong with one. I was gonna be all practical and get a Camry lxe and my husband saw the rt and said I can't believe u are test driving the Camry w your favorite car sitting there so I test drove it and that was all she wrote. So much for practical, huh?
Something truly special about
Something truly special about family and Christmas. I got to see some of my closest Kid Rock friends pictures of their family Christmas on facebook... kids are off at college and came home... the smiles on their faces getting to be with their kids tugs at my heart... talk about being lucky. I think we are all blessed one way or another :)
Holy Christmas RJ..lol
Holy Christmas RJ..lol Santa was nice to you :) The bright blue bar stools sound sweet for your hubby, which I didn't realize you were married. We kept it very simple, we weren't gonna buy anything for each other but he surprised me with a box of dark choc. pretzels and I got him the Uncle Kracker CD. He needs a new pair of work boots but he told me he better not see that wrapped up for a Christmas gift..and I don't blame him. We went over to spend some time with the parents on Sunday.. made them a huge fruit basket and dad likes lottery scratch off tickets... had a nice time. I'd still like to get us both a MID t-shirt for a treat but haven't got there yet... more worried about getting heating oil in the house first and more important and my next set of books for the upcoming class at the end of Jan. Christmas around here can be a lil gloomy because we weren't blessed with kids of our own... the forever empty nest. The guy at work has a cute lil one... we did this last year too.. being that I don't have kids.. Christmas is for him... and New Years is for me.. cuz one thing I'm good at is partying ; )
You mean the cruise tickets
You mean the cruise tickets Wonder if they are just gonna anounce it at a concert? wouldnt that be fun...
It will be as we will be
It will be as we will be doing Christmas Saturday . Thanks. Family couldn't make it cause weather and then have to work but it will give me plenty of time to wrap the rest of 150 packages and get everything else together . We still have about 3 in of snow on the ground. That was sweet of you to give that guy the day with his kids. I don't have plans for New Years either seeing how I don't see an email saying you won. Lol. My hubby's birthday is coming up in jan. brat he gets double presents. I got him some cook bright blue and brass bar stools, modern , and some Prada cologne, a John boat w 25 horse motor, some new chef dishes to match the modern ones I bought him last bday, a chanille blanket, and 2 pairs of jeans and a sweatshirt. He's a spoiled brat. I bought me a new wave oven, a new chanille, wool blanket, a multi stone cross necklace 16 ct which I collect, new curtains for my office, and he got me a diamond rose gold ring. I always do my own shopping because God blessed me so that I can. I can't wait for the kids to open all their toys. They got batman , Spider-Man, baby dolls w dresses the girls can wear and their dolls have matching dresses.
Thunder snow is cool. We
Thunder snow is cool. We also got hit with 2 inches of the white stuff late last night which made it nice Christmas. Don't feel bad RJ.. I worked 2nd today so that the guy could have off for his kid for Christmas... I get off Fri - Mon this upcoming.. for New Years Eve celebrations... with no where to go..lol Hope your holiday was nice.
It's snowing in Texas. 3
It's snowing in Texas. 3 inches already and now sleeting. They called it a thunder snow and funny that's what it was. Rather odd.

I'm working on this lovely Xmas eve and as you can tell, it is really slllooowww!

Still haven't heard a winner, anyone know?
Happy New Years, I'm raising
Happy New Years, I'm raising a glass of pink champagne to you dears, just to wish you a happy new year. Wrapping presents and not songs .man there's just too many and I was getting tired and started thinking, lets start drinking. That made me start thinking for the new year, I'm gonna quit smoking, I'll quit drinking, cut down on eating, I'll quit cheating , I'll be a better person, but while I'm thinking, lets get shitfaced.
Glad everyone is coming
Glad everyone is coming together for something , right? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the Rebel Soldiers kicken it crew and all y'all do!
I have been trying to get my
I have been trying to get my brother to hear at least something from the new album, ColdnEmpty, but he's stubborn and says I listen enough for the both of us..lol. Anyway.. he's with a girl that loves Nascar, WWE, and the CMT channel... so he ended up seeing Happy New Year on there and had to come tell me he thought it was funny and loved it. Not big on today's country but I like the Band Perry.. they got something going on. I like that song called Civil War or something but I think that band broke up... bummer.
Bobbys Happy new year came on
Bobbys Happy new year came on too .. man i wish i turned into cindy after the 12th hour too =)
BTW bobby .. who Won?
Wanted to pop my head back
Wanted to pop my head back into this thread a bit since its goin strong. Littleoldwtf, said country CRAP..(reminded me of what i said earlier) so i wanted to give it more of a chance (since everyone loves it--so maybe i am wrong and everyone else is right? (doubtful <--that was a joke haha). But my hubby is a big country fan too and im pretty subborn so i had to see what all the hubbub is about. So im sittin here on my couch drinkin my wine waitin on the world to end and figured what could it hurt (since nothing happened last night). So i turn to the cmt channel and the top 20 counrty count down is playing. I have to say that i think i just fell in love with Justin Moore. His final days song just made me cry! Band perry's better dig too is nice too. Toby kieth 's hope on the rocks makes me wanna help everyone hahah Hooda thunk that the kid rock site turned me country....
Im hoping TOby someday shares
Im hoping TOby someday shares the story behind the song. The Perrys are such a welcome sight to country music. there are good people listeners ya might say. id be lieing if I did not say I miss Loretta and Conway..my first fiancee was such a romantic he would sing conways part. better dig two reminds me of Tin Lizzie and my uncle Junior..we did bury them the same day..A relative stopped me from a channel 8 experience. its almost impossible now Keeping little eyes and ears away from the televison but we managed it that day * still amased. still waiting for the what comes around goes around with that..im patient. although s fate would have it I got a peice of it...can't name names but still in all..a sweet family member UNKNOWINGLY gave one her comeupins...a real smart mouth got a lesson in WHO YA BULLY and who ya DON't must of never learned the attage..don't let Size fool ya...we still laugh...Farrel says GDit...Petites in the Family have on HUGE can of WHOOPASS..others wished they had NEVER OPENED UP ! sometimes keeping it within a good distance IS the best POLICY !
There's a lot of talent on
There's a lot of talent on that channel, just have to pick a time to catch up and recap like you did. What do you think of Eric Church?
