"BORN AND RAISED IN SOUTH DETROIT." We have a Southwest side and a Southeast side, we have a Northwest and a Northeast side, but no South Detroit, that is why we sing that so loud, cuz our South Detroit neighbors are actually our fine neighbors whom live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. What's good about his country is that it's not completely country. It seems as if he combines a little rock, blues, soul, and I almost thought I heard a little bluegrass. He mixes the old w the new so it's familiar like something we grew up with.
