I got one fer ya-- I woke up from a dream a Devil without a cause had a dream of a black chick ,white guy in the background i heard the Party Ode.Today im feeling like a Gangster from the Oldschool.
On Christmas day, it seems I blew the engine on my car. I will be unloading my Kid Rock collectibles, Paradime Collectibles, and TBT Collectibles. My Car is going to cost me 3 Grand to repair, and I need all the funds I can to make sure I have a vehicle. So, in the upcoming days, be ready to bid, donate, and help a cause much greater then u may think. I am also organizing a benefit show...
Sometimes it's hard to be a woman
Giving all your love to just one man
You'll have bad times
And he'll have good times
Doin things that you don't understand
But if you love him
You'll forgive him
Even though he's hard to understand
And if you love him
Oh, be proud of him
Cause after all he's just a man
Stand by your man
Give him two arms to cling to
And something warm to come to
when nights are cold and lonely
Stand by your man
And show the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
Stand by your man
Stand by your man
And show the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
Detroit was the birthplace of the middle class, an industrial utopia where anyone who worked hard enough could experience the American Dream. In the past three decades, the city has seen its might crumble as oil prices spiked, the auto industry declined and the middle class began to disappear. This new film chronicles the lives of several Detroiters trying to survive and make sense of what is happening to their city.
Once upon a time, a Kid Rock show in Detroit was something all my people wanted to go to. It was the cool thing to do, the cool place to be, a good time for all. Now my mom wants to go, my aunt calls for tickets, and my teachers from High School frequent the shows. Once upon a time, he was a devil without a cause, now he is all religous during his shows, making me feel as if he is a zealot without a cause. The lyrics and content used to be on the edge, its what made him who he is, now its pathetic and same ole same ole. Why do I hold on?
I'll have lots more time to uncover more drama. My dad's funeral won't happen until after Christmas. He's getting creamated. Because he's a former Marine, he's being buried at Fort Rosecranes (we are very happy about this, Rosecrans is getting so full, they opened Miramar plots, not as nice), along with my brother that passed two years ago (long back story), they tell us the dual funeral will take longer; I'm just happy my brother will finally get a proper burial and he'll be along side my dad.
Thanks guys.
I just received a comment from my sister's old boyfriend and it's kind of funny---he wrote that he had a Boston t-shirt on when he met my dad the first time. My dad was from Boston and immediately took a liking to him. He didn't have the heart to tell him that Boston referred to the rock group and not the city. LOL
WestCoastGirl- I hope you can find comfort in all the stories people are going to tell you in the coming days about your dad. You are going to learn some new ones I bet. I know I did.
That is funny RSS! Yup I'm learning stuff about my family I didn't know because of dad's death; mostly about what went down between my sister, her husband, and my mom. That is a long story, but my mom actually spoke to this sister after 10 years because she called her when dad died. Baby steps, but I think they are working things out.
Thanks everyone, I appreciate it! Rocksavedmy soul, very sorry to hear abuot your dad passing. I love that song too, Only God Knows Why, that was cool it was on at that time.
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad--Wcg---and your Dad, too--Rsms---God Bless both of yous and your Families. Music is the healer of Souls. Thank God for music and the musicians who create it.
So sorry. I understand. I just lost my dad last week. We had a beautiful mass that celebrated his life. I cherish the good memories and buried any bad. When I got in my van after the funeral luncheon, my husband turned on the radio and Only God Knows Why was on. I took it as a sign. Life can sometimes be hard but I have learned the past few years that you have to truly be present during the good times (I guess I am a late bloomer so I figured that out later than most). Anyway, I wish you the best WCG and hope you find comfort. God bless.
