Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones, the three surviving members of Led Zeppelin, visited David Letterman Monday night, a first time appearance for Page and Jones to the late night host.

The band admitted that they didn’t know what was in store for them at the Honors, that others would be performing their music as they watched. The usually reserved Page bubbled over while describing the rendition of “Stairway to Heaven” launched by Ann and Nancy Wilson playing guitars, culminating with Kid Rock. “Kid Rock was fantastic,” said Page. “They did a version of Stairway that had a choir and an orchestra. Ann and Nancy Wilson started it up and it was building and building. Then a scrim goes up and it started really rocking, it was great.”

Congratulations to you beautiful man. Hope you and your Mom had a fantastic time. You both looked amazing. Take no offense, I've always said Led Zeppelin is my favorite. If stuck alone on a desert island and I had to choose from one artist / group LED ZEPPELIN - HANDS DOWN.

Was in one of the Smithsonian museums this week and Kid Rock walked past me to go to the Star Spangled Banner exhibit. Good to know that he cares about our country and its past.

Thanks for sharing DECAF33 :) It is good to know he cares about our country and its past and that his actions continue to prove it. Sounds like an exhibit I'd like to see, as well. I imagine it was fascinating and well done.

He did this with Heart? ~Nice! Just saw the USA today article that he did Rambling On and another.... looks like a 2 hour show airs on CBS on Dec 26th. Looks like Bonham's son is in with the tribute as well. When I was a teen I bought Bonham's son's album and played the crap out of 'Wait for you' after seeing the video on Mtv... miss the days when Mtv had actual music videos on..pfft Anyway... can't wait to see the show.

I can say that I cannot wait to hear this performance on December 26! Stairway to Heaven is probably my all-time favorite Led Zeppelin song and Kid Rock just continues to amaze me with his renditions of my favorite jams, as he did on CTM3 with the tribute to the Beastie Boys. Bob Ritchie is my hero...rock on!

Wow, thanks, SUNFLOWER_2! This was a great performance and I loved seeing everyone getting up out of their chairs like only Kid Rock can get them to do...and then the respectful response from Elton John to him and his in return...Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing :)
