I would really like to change the mission statement too "Helping those who believe in hard work and the American Dream in there time of need." maybe leave out "time of need" - ?? I am so sick of seeing all these bullshit charitys give shit too undeserving families and people who keep having kids that cant afford them, etc etc - i wanna focus on helping people who are already trying to help themselves, people like a young jon brabbs, etc etc....will always help kids and veterans etc, but focus on real shit from people already doing good things who may be struggling a bit.

You wanna be able to help those people who are struggling while trying to do the right thing. While being responsible citizens. To be able to fill the gas tank of that hard working father who can't make it to his kid's basketball game because he's got just enough cash to cover getting back and forth to work for the week. You wanna be able to help people who don't qualify for, are working their assess off to get off of, or won't accept government assitance To help the person who- despite living paycheck to paycheck (or worse) would be the first one in line to help you if the tables were turned. Yep. Totally agree.

As a mother of one of the Marching Chiefs I am thankful for your gift! Giving our kids the opportunity to be a part of your half-time show will be a memory of a lifetime for them. The Wyandotte School District has done an amazing job providing for our kids as resources dwindle. We have truly done more with less. I totally agree with you. You have to help yourself too! I tell my daughter that she can do anything as long as she works hard for it. Thanks for your generosity!!! You ROCK!

I'm all for those who help themselves but some, well, they don't know how or where to start which leads me to think education not antiabuse is where to start. It doesn't cost that much to teach. Hell look at what our teachers make.

Rockinwiththekid is something I have chosen for yrs now to do because he is real, says what the hell he damn well feels and don't give a damn about how or what is said. He is a talented artist and has a heart for the REAL of ppl. God bless you for all you are. Way to go, keep up the great work for those in need. My brother is poor and disabled but has an elaborate computer system because of being deaf he communicates via video monitor and his computer system. It's his hummer . Should he be judged for having such a nice computer system. My point made!

My brother came by to show me a Fryes add with a 59 dollar monitor that plays CDs and DVDs and takes memory cards that he wants for Xmas and you know what, he has no one else so Santa will step in and he will get it. Makes me warm and fuzzy!

I'm confused, I thought you cared about those less fortunate than you? I am on disability due to a health condition that I would give anything in the world, not to have!! Before I got sick I worked, hard. I wish I was still able to do so. I qualify for food stamps but since I don't feel that I need it as much as someone who has kids, I don't even apply. But yet I'm being judged for being on disabilty? I don't want this, who would? I work hard to stay healthy, positive and productive! Your music is one of the things that helps me smile and helps me stay positive but lately it's been harder to do that when I keep hearing and reading things that make me think I'm in some lesser group of people to you. Some of us are good people who truly don't wish to need any assistence but due to a betrayal of our health, we do need some help. I do acknowledge that there are people who abuse or take advantage of assistence but not everyone should be judged so quickly, everyone's story is different.

The one comment I heard a housing board chairman make to town politicians: "Have you noticed how many of these people have big TV systems?" Like it was a crime for folks stuck at home in poverty to spend what they could for a source of enjoyment and pleasure. He never even knew of a local volunteer program that provided such for those with eye or mobility problems in his own community. ..... I swear, people who judge others without understanding and compassion will rot in hell. ..... If system abuses drive you nuts, then do something about it. Contact your town, city, state and federal reps and demand they spend the time and money to investigate abuses. Activate the solution. It will cost more money to fix the problem then we are spending now, too, so be aware that it will increase your taxes.

I'm not saying that people don't abuse the system. I'm saying we cant stereotype by how many children someone has and those children didn't put themselves in that life so by not helping the parent, you are keeping that child in that circumstance. Vicious circle.

How does anyone know what the issue is when someone walks thru the door asking for help. What do we have scanners. Maybe the guy with the hummer hunted that deer for dinner and a family member loaned him the vehicle or who knows what. Maybe that hummer is his only sanity in a horrid life. Dear hogwash , my brother is not only deaf but dislexic with some delays. Can you find a job for him? Sounds like you have some wonderful suggestion in a day and age where all of our medical records are in a computer program that can be accessed by any employer, insurance company and if you are sick or disabled, your likelihood of getting hired, being a possible cost issue and or liability, is greatly decreased. Smart attorney, I'd use ya! Pfff

Boy was what I said totally blown up into something it shouldn't have been! This is why I never comment.Unless I want to sit on here and defend an opinion all day. I do realize there are is a time and a place for disability. But every day I see it being abused. When yes there are people out there that really need it, but they can't get it because someone else that really doesn't deserve to be on is taking up funding.To all the people out there that did work there ass off and try hard every day. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!! Wish there were more people like you.You should be Damn proud of yourselves. I really do mean that. An your children will learn from you. Let me give you an example of why I get so upset. When a guy pulls in his NEW hummer with a deer on top,( that he put there himself with no help, I know this because he's bragging about it), tells me the story of how he had to drag said deer over the river and thru the woods(once again by himself)for a mile. Then tells me he is on disability for a BAD BACK and will be paying with EBT. But yet he's showing off his new Hummer and the new gun that he shot said deer with. Then I get a little pissed. This is not the only example. I could go on and on. So theres my explanation. If you don't like it. SSSOOOO SSSOOORRRYY!!!!

Don't stop commenting chop. You're entitled to your opinion, as is everyone else... including Kid Rock. I totally agree with what you said, and I get what Kid is saying too. He clearly wasn't speaking about those truly in need, but there is just so much BS out there, that there comes a time when one has to put their foot down, and say wtf. It's sad that when people are in a position to help, and they want to help, that they can't just do it, because of all the BS charities, so they first have to do some investigating to be sure it's legit , and going to those truly in need. Like blue said, changes can be made in those areas too, but why should someone that already has sooo much on their plate, have to do all of that, in order to help someone out?

One more thing who really does care what color the president is they refer to him as if he is an endangered species or something. He is not a fuckin Zebra or Giraffe or some sort of exotic. Not endangered at all. Who cares what color he is. He's not green red or the like, who cares. This is politics. Thats why they call it politics. It is messy. It is not about the children by any means that of which are children etc. It is about a system that is "broken" the bunny ears state...This is just some thing that is not going to change. It is implemented with puppets that is it. When I refer to puppets I mean puppets. I am not referring to children I am referring to adults in high positions etc. Hence the word "PUPPETS." Now this is just something that is going to be there. There are children having children folks not being married when they have children, children being neglected, children being abused, It is not the children's fault of course not. These poor children are just there. It is sad and rather unfortunate because I am so sure there is someone in this world that wants one of those children to love they would give any thing to have one. So yes it is unfortunate for these children. What I do not condone is having children when you are a child etc. Get the birth control what ever. It does not matter what religion you are etc. Its called using your brain being proactive taking care of your self. THese folks are not taught that. They have no idea. Another issue is they are not taught don't see you must put in the hard work it takes to get any where. IF you want anything in life any way. It is sad to see on MTV that there are children items being sold on infomercials and then 30 seconds later you can text for again the bunny ears state "SEX" this is disfunction at its best. It sends the wrong message. Also it targets the children. And again that is what they are children. They have no idea until you introduce them to it. They are sponges. Something for nothing folks are all around they do think that they should just have because some one else has too. Well again lets do the thinking for them: some one actually had to "WORK" for it they just did not get it for no reason. SO again I am going to have some dam cookies spike the egg nog and enjoy Christmas time. Senseless time waistin that energy.
