I would really like to change the mission statement too "Helping those who believe in hard work and the American Dream in there time of need." maybe leave out "time of need" - ?? I am so sick of seeing all these bullshit charitys give shit too undeserving families and people who keep having kids that cant afford them, etc etc - i wanna focus on helping people who are already trying to help themselves, people like a young jon brabbs, etc etc....will always help kids and veterans etc, but focus on real shit from people already doing good things who may be struggling a bit.

Chop, all I can say is there but for the grace of God go us all. You are lucky to have your health. Others are not as fortunate. Are there folks who cheat the system? You bet, and that should be a focus. But to just state it the way you did? Cold, bitter cold.

I agree. And with some of the posts below. Hogwash. I went to law school in the Appalachian Mountains, as a single mom. A good friend of mine, blind. He is now an attorney in Florida. I watched as my coal mining neighbor lost a right leg and crushed his right side while driving a truck on a strip mine job in Virginia and he re-educated himself and goes to work everyday. They said he was disabled, he said no way. Its the spirit of America when you fight back. We all fall. Times get tough. People need help. But I agree with Bobby, help those that want to help themselves. There is not much more you can do for the others. There are folks that will always suck off the government boob. They bring in kids they can't afford, they breed like rabbits, then go to the welfare office. Responsibility needs to come back somewhere. I have helped countless people and have helped ones who won't help themselves. I gave up on the ones who refuse to help themselves and focus on the ones who want to support their families, find a job and move forward. That's all we can do.

You know our medical professionals are front line soldiers too. Exposing themselves to God knows what. Helping the sick, less fortunate, and ailing while at the same time trying to keep all those emotions in check that go along with it. People forget what they do. Or police officers, teachers, firefighters. None of them are billionaires but the have riches in ways no one could imagine. They Have hearts of gold.

Why don't you put Beckxy through nursing school if you are intent on helping those who are helping themselves. What a better picture of someone trying to help themselves and even trying to help others at the same time. She would get my vote because even in her circumstance, father in law dying, working, trying to go to school, she still finds time to make this a better place. She has my vote. Can we vote?

Things you can do in life are free. It's not always about money but paying it forward. I'm a good example. I had no one to help me. My kids father was killed in a hit and run and I went from living luxury to living in housing while I gave myself an education and tried to support my 3 boys on my own. I had very little help but 4 years later with blood, sweat and tears I managed to graduate twice from college , both with honors and now I am able to somewhat help others who may have been in that same boat. We all have to remember where we came from and who we are and why we are here. That's all I'm saying.

Never ever judge a person until you have walked in their shoes chop shop and Kid. Some people are on disability because of psychological diagnosis such as bipolar. They can't function in a normal society or they would probably kill themselves. We have no real psych care in the us. I have a brother who is deaf and no one will hire him therefore he's on disability. I have a brother who is blind and he can't get disability. People keep having kids because of poor education and being brought up in bad places. Who are we to judge. I agree in making people who receive support go to school and get an education but they can't do that if they are starving. Shame on you people. Judge not less ye be judged. Everything and everyone has a place in life and some are more fortunate. My best friend in college, Sarab Odara, aka Sara Dara, was born into a fortunate family and was a photographer who spent lots of time with the homeless. She found that there was a lot of mental diagnosis and drug use but spent time with them, bought them meals and just having someone who cared they were able to lift themselves up enough to try and help themselves because someone cared. My other friend takes woman in who meet criteria after being released from prison so that she can provide ministries and education to woman who would likely otherwise go back out on the street. Some of them become educated functioning members of society. Most of them were abused, beaten and thrown into a life that got them into a prison but prison to them was an escape. Were they helping themselves? Never judge a book by the cover until you have read the pages. Everyone makes mistakes because we are born into his image not his likeness and we are human. Yes , I believe in helping those who are helping themselves but until the others are given a jumpstart how do you know that they are not going to help themselves? If no one cares, why should they? Don't even get me started! I am so sick of people saying "Oh I can't work I'm on disability". Which is so total bullshit. Or they will tell you they don't have to work that there are so many programs out there that will support them that you just have to work them. This is what they are teaching there children. Also the ones that come in and buy a $16.00 a pound bag of jerky on there EBT.If your going to be on it how about 4 lbs of burger instead that would go a lot farther feeding your family you ass.I can't tell them I won't sell them the jerky because that would be discrimination. YOUR DAMN RIGHT I WANT TO DISCRIMINATE. Like I said don't get me started. We donate a lot. (usually pick military families).If not military,we try to do it personally so we know they really need it and will use it wisely.

Sounds like a plan man ;) Beautiful story! My brother and sisters were both in the band. It does so much for kids. Lets them experience the reward of all of the hard work it took to learn and hone(? rt word)... in on those talents, once they get to actually perform and feel the feed back from the crowd, the sense of accomplishment that only comes from hard work. WOW, it's just amazing. That's an awesome feeling. My Baby Brother did percussion. He incorporated the whole drum line dancing, break through parts.. was awesome!!! It was the first time the cheerleaders cheered more for the band than the football team. Next thing you know, the school, and to follow soon community support. Far as I know, it hasn't changed since. His best friend Steve, still works with the kids through heart surgeries, just loosing a family member. Cause yeah, he cares and knows what a difference it can make in kids lives when that's all they feel they got. My Brother would drive hrs to helps kids after work learn their beats & to get them to tap into their pride. Boy, then they just shine! :))) I'm so proud of my Brother and others like you! gotta go, promo day... :)))

Sure I am helping my son out but they are both working hard just cannot make the dream of new(new to them the family farm house) ownership because of that one mistake he made and was forced to file medical bankruptcy because his parents (our) Insurance put in place a disclaimer so I better not even has so much as a drink down me and get in a one car collision cause IT WON't be COVERED. then again mister that's MY BUIS...I didn't ask you or your trillions to ever help me out ..NEVER ASKED and guess what MFer I won't ever. Keep your money close if it gives ya comfort my grandkids give me MINE. Get RID of HER. Did ya leave your cellphone unattended somewhere perhaps the bathroom? Kid Rock/Robert, You and your foundation has done wonderful things for many and do not get jaded in what you do for others through your foundation, please-Trust me you do not want a jaded heart, it hurts.One person can only do so much and you do what you feel you can. I have read of some of the many wonderful things you have done for people not only in Detroit but also from your Care Tour and more. I do however agree with you on this post on so many levels as well though as I see it everyday in my own life and it can be a struggle to keep going but I do as you must too. IMO the only way the freeloaders are gonna ever stop is the government has to stop it first but that includes the government as well and yes the charities need to be real. It is so hurtful for me personally to see how the government and other families/individuals live off the system/charities/people and their kids and I struggle to keep what I have and to keep life going the best I can for my son and I. Too my son has trouble with it as well But in doing so I know I can look at myself in the mirror at the start of each day and at the end of the day no matter what and I tell my son we made it through another day and so can he as he has been working on and off since about the age of 10 and he's 15 now and trying to live with my Old School Values and hard work and too I always remember no matter what, find a way to reward yourself for your hard work whether it be a treat or save up for something special cause you have to smile sometimes along the way as well and always remember kindness and charity to one's that really need it-but that can be a challenge sometimes-I do agree. I couldn't fuckin' agree with you more!!!!! I am in the 1% and I live my life protecting my family and business from big government and now Fucking "Obamacare". I pay enough business taxes, income taxes, payroll taxes, sales taxes, property taxes, luxury taxes, estate taxes, blah blah blah to support a small city. I am a 42 year old female, planned my wedding, planned my (only 2) children, worked my ASS off, listened to mentors, ran with opportunity and now have to watch these stupid leaders of our free country teach my children to NOT bust their ass, thrive or become something oneday. Instead, we watch all these losers with 10 different baby mamas and baby daddies line up for their Welfare, Section 8, WIC, free kids meals at school etc., then use their EBT cards at KFC or the local liquor store to get a pack of smokes and a bucket of fried chicken. I am the FIRST one to feed anyone who is hungry and I donate generously...but I am fed up with what this world is about. They need to start drug testing all welfare receipients, put a 2-3 year cap on length of entitlement and mandate birth control shots for these breeders. Ahhh. o.k. I feel better now! Thanks for sharing Bobby....I love you!...see you on the mutha fuckin' boat in about 100 days. :-)

Maybe 'Helping those who believe hard work leads to the American Dream' ? I do not have a problem in the least helping others or giving money to deserving causes/individuals. I don't have a problem with the government doing so--as long as it isn't a generational rollover situation. Time limits, training programs, education, term benefits. What I do have a problem with is a government that does not encourage people to solve their own problems, who doesn't encourage innovation, who kills the motivation of the people who've worked their asses off to get where they have. I feel like hard work 'just doesn't matter' anymore--why put in the effort? Sure, I've got my pride to do a good job, but if someone is always just going to take, take, take, fuggedaboudit. If the guv tries to redistribute my 401k or retirement plan--Costa Rica, here I come! PS How/What am I supposed to tell my kids about how 'hard work pays off' now? Frickin laughing stock--sad

I completely agree. I work for Social Services and can not believe the amount of sheer laziness that people have. I am all for helping ANYONE who NEEDS it. But sometimes it is insane. People need to learn to be responsible for themselves and their lives. STOP HAVING BABIES I support my family I don't want to support your kids just because you don't want to.

I'm thinking just add it like you said, with the "Helping those who believe in hard work and the American Dream in their time of need. I think the "time of need" part is ok. People will get it. You'll help lift them up in their time of need, but you won't carry them.(not completely anyway) It should go without saying, and I think most know that the children & vets., etc., go without being said too. Whatever your decision, just always know, we all think you're amazing for everything you do...just for being you. :)

I need HELP from you Kid Rock fans, I have always been a KRC member but my membership expired 11-17 and I didn't know it had expired. I am a huge fan and want to get in on the presale for KC and Wichita and I have been trying to renew my membership and it wont let me. I am FREAKIN out and need help. I have emailed the KRC and they keep sendining me this generic freakin link about most asked questions. Any help would be appreciated, I'm at my wits end and my family is sick of listing to me bitch about it, lol, thanks!!!

As an RHS Marching Chief Alum and daughter of the current RHS vocal teacher I am always aware of what the department is doing and try to help when ever possible. It was a chill giving experience to watch the current band march across the field during the Amazing half time show!!! Finances are difficult for so many people, businesses, schools, government, etc. it is ultimately the children that suffer. Having been around RHS music since I was a young child I have seen some amazing students and staff strive for perfection and the ability to reach goals most would believe unachievable. THANK-YOU for this gift!!!! It is nice to see that others get to see what I have had the privilege of seeing for my entire life!!!
