Just wanted to share this link...it's hilarious! My daughter posted it to my FB, so just thought I'd share with Kid's Fans!

Kid spoke with Mitch Album this morning as part of an interview to help raise funds for Albom's first S.A.Y Detroit radiothon on WJR. The radiothon is raising money for a variety of Mitch's Detroit charities. Kid donated for auction a DWAK cd, DSO program, Hour Magazine, and MID poster, all of which were signed. Bidding started for the packaged item at $500. Albom commended Kid for being an ambassador for Detroit and Kid added he's "treated well here, it's home, and there's nothing like it." He said he wants to continue to "be a part of the community" and this is where he chose to raise his son. Kid said he loves how "Detroit has style." He went on to explain that he tries to help out wherever he can through his Kid Rock Foundation, yet it could "become a full-time job" since he "wants to do so much" but he has to focus on his music as well.
Albom switched gears, asking Kid about the first week's release of Rebel Soul to which Kid replied, it's not about the first week record sales, telling Albom he has always said about record sales, "It's not a sprint, it's a marathon." Lastly, Kid mentioned he had other national interviews this morning, plus a photo shoot for the Italian cover of Playboy (with three beautiful girls). With four minutes left in the bidding, Kid's package was up to $5,000 (ladies, get your head out of the gutter-lol). Too rich for my wallet...a girl can dream...

KRLO: the auction for Kid's
KRLO: the auction for Kid's stuff was only held for 20 minutes and at about three minutes left, I called the donation line. They told me it was at $5,000 and there was no way I could top that. All I know is it went for at least $5,000.
RSMS, do you know how to find
RSMS, do you know how to find out how much the 'package' went for? Looked for a tally board, couldn't find it, but didn't look to hard, thanks for the info BTW, I slept in and didn't hear it.

Wow, that's amazing !! Love
Wow, that's amazing !! Love your lil joke at the end.. nice write up, RSMS. Ya know it's interesting because, today, my day consisted of working 3rd last night, then heading off to college downtown at 7am where I have a good hour to have coffee and read yesterday's local paper as I wait for my class to begin. This has no relevance but just need to say, before I get out of the car on the campus parking lot I am beginning to have this ritual where I have to listen to Midnight Ferry before I go in...lol Anyway... I'm reading the paper, and I was drawn to an article that was by the Philadelphia Inquirer, again, posted in my local paper. It was about certain highly-regarded charitable organizations that would like to enact the Tuesday after Thanksgiving as 'Giving Tuesday'... just like the Friday after Thanksgiving is considered 'Black Friday'.. and now, apparently the Monday after Thanksgiving is considered 'Cyber Monday'. I thought it was a great article.. and it got me thinking.. gee, what can I do today. Well, sadly, I didn't do much...mmm maybe open the door for a few kids to come out of the snow.. or I did run some errands for the teacher before class... but then she's always asking me to do stuff for her.. I do believe I became her pet..lol Anyway... to come home and read this.... after my long day.. it brought me back to the article and all is well ~smiles~ time to go to bed.. Have a great day everybody. Thanks for sharing this RSMS.
