We were at the Tigers game tonight as the no hitter was happening, I never mentioned it, neither did my son or husband, we know better, but someone didn't cuz Anibal Sanchez pitched an unbelievable game tonight, and was robbed of the no hitter with 2 outs to go in the top of the ninth, by no less than Joe Mauer. UGH, but brilliant pitching by Sanchez. FYI for the baseball newbies, NEVER MENTION NO HITTER WHILE A NO HITTER IS HAPPENING!!! I don't buy into jinxes but I buy into this one.
Cass has some amazing, quick
Cass has some amazing, quick players. Looking forward to seeing those headed to Division I, play next year. OLSM's game was a thriller-going into overtime. It sounds sappy but it's too bad a team has to lose. The kids on all the teams gave it their all and all should be proud to have played in the finals. We ended up at Lafayette Coney Island after the game. The place was packed with parents and kids coming from the finals (good way for us to drown our sorrows-lol).
RSMS, congrats on making it
RSMS, congrats on making it to Ford Field, still owe you a pepsi, but a beer would be better. Cass Tech is a tough team to beat. Great teams on both sides.
Val, I would never 'roll tide'
Alabama, KRLO? UGH ;) Still
Alabama, KRLO? UGH ;) Still reliving the Crimson Tide nightmare of New Year's Day 2011--
Awww, so sweet of you to
Awww, so sweet of you to start this discussion, Laurie. Man, you guys played a great game. Wish we could have met up at Ford Field. That would have been something! One neat thing about Cass is that the band marches from the school to the stadium. It's really cool to see a spontaneous parade downtown. I know our team still feels last year's loss in the finals. I hope it's a great game. What a way for the senior's to go out. btw- I see OLSM will be there as well. One of my friend's sons is on that team.
