Ok - This is a FAN site, and as Fans we all LOVE dah "KID" and TBT.
I am really dissapointed in the Video and Message in the "Cucci Galore" release.
It appears to be Hugh Hefner at the start of the Video, it was so hard to figure this out because he looks so darn aweful. Hugh exploited Women for years, and his play boy mansion has been nothing but sex parties for years, him sleeping with the women along with his brother. Kid seems to want to come across as Heff,?? does that mean he has no respect for the women who are fans that surround him?? That is the immpression I'm taking from this. What appears to be Play Boy Models/ Whores in a Bed Room Scene/ Hoe is a Hot Tub/ and Him dressed as a Pimp. Do you understand what a pimp is?? A guy who has a woman have sex with other guys and then he takes her money and in some cases abuses the women because he has no respect for her. Kid being a Father should have thought twice about the message he conveys in this to the public.
I never thought his "My Name is KIDdddd" was Music, some of his older stuff I like, I like the Born Free Album,Devil with out a Cause Album-- I like some of the songs on "Rebel Soul" but by FAR do I think that the New Released Album is his Best. Ranchey Sexual Appeal - granted Kid has used this for many years to draw in the women to listen to his Music, the Pole Dancers to gets the Guys----I follow Kid for the MUSIC. He is a "Musician" - Sexuality Sells. If its marketed right, you'll buy it, to quote Kid himself. It just seems he has gotten away from the MUSIC and went more stage show, more sexual, to make a buck. I don't care for the Commercialized Kid. On the other hand HIS MUSIC I appreciate. TBT is Talented - maybe in a video there is more needed to keep you entertained?? But chooseing Hugh Hefner?? Oh I know the girls in Playboy have a choice-but Hugh has slept with god knows how many women- he himself stopped counting after 2000. They must go through gallons after gallons of Bleach to disinfect the pools-hottubs etc. in that place. This New Album talks up Detroit alot-and Detroit has had a problem with strip clubs - Kid wants to make an impression that he is for his community, Detroit, and its Culture. Well - this video is a far cry from helping to clear up the strip clubs in Detroit- Its more like he wants to be Hugh Hefner of Detroit, to me that is not contributing in a healthy way to his community. Maybe its some dream of his??? He did already make it with a Play Boy Bunny, she had Hepatits C. I don't dress up a whole lot either- my work is more a casual dress attire. Sure everyone likes to dress nice - New Years is a good time for that. Now if you want to talk MUSIC Kid's "New Years" song sounds great. His "Celebraton" song sounds fun and up-beat. Kid put his spin on Cucci Galore and it like so many of Kids songs, he can make good- I just think this one has poor taste. Kid is Diverse in his stuff, Blues, Rock, Hip Hop, but I really feel that he could have done this song better justice - showing 3 girls in a Bed Room and him dressed like a pimp???? A girl who by the way does look alot like his current GF in a hot tub, and shots of a playboy bunny dancing with butt shots???? Not Cla

so true and just to add with everyone... I go 365 days on the same old same old road, don't wear make-up, don't dress-up, throw my hair up in a tail and I'm on my way. Going to a show, or just listening to the cd takes me to another world so much bigger than life itself, it's a release. It brings out emotion, dreams, goals, inspiration, and it brings out the fun in me, the sexy, the party, it creates the smiles that only Kid Rock and TBT's music can do until the next time. And, I too respect everybody's opinion, for we could have not had this conversation without different opinions. I gave some thought to the fact that not everyone was lured in, from Kid Rock's raunchy or sexual side in his music, yet what drew me in was raunchy, heart-pounding, diverse, hip hop, rock n blues, and soul (and funk).. songs like I got one for you and Early Mornin' Stone Pimp... songs I can shake my big ass to and feel sexy..lol I swear I all about fell over when he played EMSP at his birthday bash.. heaven!

Hah, this just shows you assume nothing. My best friend, of color, Jamaican, and huge Kid Rock/TBT fan watches. Horrified. He is racist. He is mistreating this woman of color. He is bad. I nearly died, laughing, though I didn't expect her reaction. She watched it a few more times, so she got over it nicely. It's a fantasy theater piece constructed to create emotion. But, I can see now why folks see things differently...

ok, so I finally got around to watching the video (I have almost zero use for music videos & tend to not bother with them) and I'm not sure I understand your meaning, Star (though I respect your right to your opinion). I didn't see the message you're talking about, it didn't seem to be about a true "pimp" (as opposed to the urban slang definition of the word) at all. It just seemed like a fantasy about being someone like Hugh Hefner.
Its curious video, kinda circus-like in atmosphere. But I loved the whole array of people it shows... instead of just the typical blond playmate types, it shows a range of women and men of all types, sizes and colors (Beckxy alluded to this below, and she's right on point).
In a side note, I don't see Hef as a "pimp" kinda guy at all. he's a guy who lives with, and has lots of relationships with, women. I don't agree with the very conservative stance that women are (always) the exploited victims in these kinds of situations. As long as the women are adults we have to allow them to make their own choices (even if "we" wouldn't make the same choice) and that might be the real message here: the women are participants here, not victims. they are clearly having fun and enjoying themselves as are the men. hell, the women look like they're having more fun frankly.
and in a side note to the side note, the fact that--assuming I was single and on the hunt-- I would love to have sex with KR's girlfriend (who is not shown in this video, which is why this is a total side note) is in no way meant to be demeaning to her, it means only that she is HOT.
but back to my original point, I am not at all biased. A KR fan, sure... but I didn't like the Born Free album and I don't agree with everything he says and does (I think a lot of his politics suck for example). I also am a true feminist... I'm all about women's rights. But the right of women to have fun, to be sexy, and have lots of sex is definitely a pro-women stance, too!
