KR always supports the troops so why Romney?
    TBrown says (28 Oct '12)

I love Kid Rock! But why does he support Romney...More war, maybe...Less deductions for me and I'm middle class. Check this out. It should explain why I am asking.

I Think the Candidates should do the campaigning and "MUSICAL ARTISTS" stick to their profession. Just Say'in

bluesuedeshoe's picture

Girls we are supposed to be able to read an article and determine merit based on its sources and text when we graduate High School. They taught me how to detect bias. I can read an article, get the info I need and not fall for the hype. Newspapers and media outlets have been biased since the beginning of time, doesn't mean I don't read or watch. We are in a world recession, look around. Obama admin did not cause it, nor will changing to Romney fix it.

Last thing...it's slanted but funny. No matter what side you're on.

Dear all that have taken the time to respond...I could be dead wrong with Obama and I admit that I just can't stand it when people flip flop or don't articulate what they are saying. I just don't get Romney. My parents do but that never has influenced me. How did Clinton balance our budget, keep unemployment low, and just make everything hunky dory? I wish I knew the answer. I do know that all politicians lie and plan as they go AND I have always heard that wars bring countries out of recessions but never really understood how. Do we create jobs by rebuilding what we lost or destroyed during the war? If that's the case, the jobs will be in Iraq and Afghanistan or Romney may create jobs building replacement ammo and bombs that we dropped to kill the enemies. I just don't know. One thing I do know is that Georgia votes republican almost every time and it just doesn't figure into the election so rest tonight that my vote doesn't really count. Nor does a republican's in MI. Popular vote? Will be interesting.

Food stamps are a huge problem and they need to be addressed immediately. No matter what is thought or said, we are in for another 4 years of Obama so let's find way to make this country work. I just want to go to another KR concert at the Center Stage in ATL. Next one is in Hollywood at the Hard Rock! Psyched! Hope all of you can come and I hope to see you there! This was interesting because our love of music is the same yet we see our country and the policies completely differently. I love America! and Bobby!

Maybe Bobby could explain why and convince more of us elephants to truly understand. Saying Obama had 4 years after Bush is not too long in my book. Maybe I have the wrong book!? My best friend is a doctor at Wellstar in GA and Wellstar is asking all of the doctors to vote republican because Obama care will cost them 20 million more!!!! BTW, they are a non-profit hospital. What the hell, that's Lebron's James yearly salary! Bob?

Thank you RSMS--I knew you would have a better perspective on the press--
Some of this discussion reminds me of that billboard in Northern Michigan showing a newborn baby..
it says..' Welcome to the USA (sic)...
You now owe $850,000 in taxes'--lol

and for the record, I'm an independent

Me too brother!

Unbiased reporting-totally a thing of the past. What counts for journalism these days sickens me. It used to be a news organization stayed neutral and threw the facts out for the people to digest and form their own opinion. Now, they spoon feed viewers their Republican or Democratic view, depending on which news organization they are watching. Truth? Seriously? I'm not only old school, but a dinosaur.
As for Obama, his policies terrify me. You can't spend your way out of a recession. My kids are screwed. Currently each taxpayer's share of the national debt stands at more than $140,000. Back in college, I took an econ class. I remember the prof explaining how the national debt would never need to be paid back. He said each administration would just roll it over again and again. I remember asking him wouldn't there be a point where that policy would fail. He looked at me like I was nuts and said it would never happen. Never say never.

KRSVal's picture

PS I don't like the less deductions either, as we also give a lot to charity and have a child with medical issues as well..so I completely understand that.
But I am willing to give them up for a better economy, more jobs, and a future for my kids which doesn't include indiscriminate over-the-top spending at the expense of the job creators. Someone's gotta pay the bill..what happens when the money runs out? I have no problem with taxing the uber (multi-millionaire) wealthy more, but that, as well as taxing ppl/families who make more than 250k a year, has been proven as not solving any deficit issue.(As an aside..many of these families fall into the 'small business' category..if you have a 'regular' job, your employer pays your medical insurance, your disability insurance, etc. We (the small business community) have payroll taxes, medical and life insurance costs, and 401K monies to pay out for our employees. So y'all pay FICA, social security, state and federal teaxe--we pay that AND the above. So forgive me if the Small Business Sector is not with the current program...it SUCKS!) And I sure as hell do not feel rich by any means, just grateful and thankful for what my family and I have, and what we have worked so hard for! So for us, it's money out, regulations and taxes up in the air for small business!..who by the way, comprise 3/4 of all employers in this great country of ours! So what I am saying is that we are already paying our frickin' 'fair share'--thanks for not understanding, Mr. 'No Business Experience Whatsover' Prez!
So something else has to happen, and it will not with the current administration.

KRSVal's picture

I may live to regret my words about war...heck, it's a pot ready to boil over NOW in the Middle East...Did y'all know that the last time our Prez visited Israel was in 2008 campaigning? As if Hillary can do everything? Sheesh. So someone is going to inherit a major problem there... and North Korea's issues to boot--
I am also curious to see what my friend will say. I will post whatever she tells me. She may not want to say much as it has been a very personal issue with her.
Ajay, my hubby is right with you. Personally, I managed ppl for many years, and you can just tell sometimes when someone is being dishonest or hiding something... (the fast blinking of eyes, looking down, etc.)I am seeing it big time with Big Man in Office. No offense to anyone.
I will be a nervous wreck if this thing drags out 2 weeks after 11/6--which it may, it is so close.
I see where you are coming from Tom, and lol Blue, no offense taken. but seriously, Huffington? Don't they have that designer Misrak or something reporting for them? Slanted as well? Which is another thing I am sick of--the press' slants on national TV--forget cable--don't these ppl have to take a journalistic oath to be unbiased or something? Or is that too Old Skool? RSMS?

bluesuedeshoe's picture

Look, Ajay, it's the Democrats vs Republicans. Obama and Romney's actions are dictated by the political belief system they support and ratify at convention. Obama is not the boogey man. Nor is Romney.

But history proves war raises nations out of depression. War mongering I do not want. Anywhere. With anyone. I'll live poor, thanks.

Oil for blood, dollars for sense...AND NOBODY BETTER ROB THAT LINE FROM ME. Trust me one day you will hear it on the radio!

IMO Kid sees through OBAMA'S bullshit. Obama i swear is leading ppl astray. Saying whatever he thinks will get him elected. He fooled me last go around....this time not gonna happen. I get bad juju vibes from the man. We are going to hell in a hand basket with him is all i am gonna say. I trust my women's intuition...it has been right so many times i chose to listen to it this go around. Call me crazy but look @ things. We are in the middle east. Those idiots been fighting since the beginning of time over religion. They came after us because we messed with and they say us as arrogant. We got rid of those who hurt us Bin Laden and Hussein. Now look @ the picture. We got young men getting hoodwinked with money and promises fighting a war that will never end. Think CIVIL WAR. It feeds the rich while it buries the poor. The poor have always been a human grocery store in times of war. I have seen them come back broken physically and mentally. They our fine military organization bails on them and kicks them to the curb. Kid Rock has picked up many of those guys and helped them. I think he understands all to well what is @ hand.

IMO we need to go in in the air and annihilate them. Get it over with and rebuild AMERICA again! People, jobs, economy, spirit everything....

The question is how many of you see what i see and have sense enough to do the right thing in November?

AJAY- I truly respect your opinion. After all, we are all Americans. Couple of things to consider (not trying to change you because that would not be my style) but please think about if the last 10 years of wars have brought us out of a recession? Are we coming out now even when Obama gets re-elected. You really don't think that Romney's going to win. Numbers are against him. Close but not electorally!

bluesuedeshoe's picture

T, you have to go with your heart and your core value system. Read the platforms of both parties, try not to get hung up on "personalities."

Thanks- Maybe I'll run into you one day at a show. I'm heading south to the NYE show this year. You going?

Thanks BSS and Val for chiming in...I am so confused about this election and how politics run in general. Yeah I'm 45 and educated but the slants and the lies keep me reeling. I wanted to vote for Romney because I would like a stronger economy but not at my expense. I give generously to church, charities, and medical issues for my son. OK my son's issues were due to addiction but they still count as medical deductions. I had to raid my last 4 years of 401K just to pay for his tuition and therapy ($60,000 for 10 months and thank God it's tax deductible), plus I pay over $50,000 in payroll taxes. I need that deduction and Romney wants to limit us to $25,000 a year. That would absolutely kill my family income and yes I am in the middle class (upper but middle, no blue blood in these veins). Kind of like Bobby! And if Romney was to cut taxes across the board, i.e. how would he pay for this strong military and especially all the wounded veterans that are going to need our help when they come home. I want to take care of them just as we do mentally incapacitated (Downs, Palsy, etc. etc.). I owe the world to the men fighting overseas and I plan on making sure they get what they deserve. An E2 makes $17,000 a year and there is is no way we will be able to manage these bills or their needs. At least that's how I see it and how it seems to work in my world. My wish is that KR would support Obama and use his "Baby Come Home" tune. I'd know the economy sucks but Obama inherited some really bad stuff and he is trying to rival Kid in Detroit by saving jobs...It just seems like KR, NOT ROMNEY! Maybe Kid could chime in?

bluesuedeshoe's picture

Cheap shot, check the read first. HuffPst does not put source in National Enquirer category. No offense Val....

KRSVal's picture

Oh no, TBrown...The Huffington Post? Not a lot of credibility there...
Romney supports a strong America, which includes a strong military.. The 'Let's Start a War' spiel is tired and inaccurate..kind of one of those spin lies that Obama media hype-types are using to try to get an edge and confuse the American people.
However, I am meeting with one of my friends tomorrow who runs a group for Veterans, so I am going to ask her what current and past military personnel think about this.
Peace, Val

TBrown's picture

Val - I'll be waiting to hear what you friends think about this! I understand that all media is slanted but that doesn't mean this article is no less true. I want a strong military too but we already have the best and more importantly, I want our soldiers home. Tom
