Ive listened to Kid's music every since American Bad Ass. I am not a typical "groupie/fan junkie" or whatever ya call it, but I do know good stuff when I hear it. His lyrics hit home. Damn near every song. We grew up in Arkansas. Drinkin Bud, listening to Hank, cruzin levys, building fires down by the river, drag racing, and just plain ol hell raising. This new album hits home more so than any of em. Ive got to say my birthday is Nov 14. My Nick name is Rebel. Oh and I ride a 2011 sportster. When I seen this new album cover and listened to the words I Can say he's still the man. Yee Haw Yall. Xoxoxoxo.

I'm an avid kid rock fan and a veteran of the US Marine Corps. This song is actually war propaganda and inaccurate at that. The verse "Grab your gun son said we're heading for war, Like your uncle JT thirty years before. No pussy no dope this aint Saigon, But keep your heads up for roadside bombs" WHAT war was in 1982? No Dope? We help the Afghans grow the dope. No Pussy? I know he's been to Iraq so he should know better. Nice beat. I could write better lyrics though. Kid's slipping.
I am a country music lover but Kid Rock won me over when he came out with Born Free. Some of those songs really touched my soul and I was able to hear in his voice that he really felt and believed in his songs. I don't like the RRRRR rated CD's and I was glad to hear him sing without all of the #%@#@ and hopefully realize what a GREAT CD he made without all of that. You are correct in that there was no war in 1982 - his producer and/or manager should have caught that!! If I was Kid Rock I would be a bit embarrassed that this wasn't caught before I cut and wrapped the song. I would think someone would research dates when involved in something going out to the public. Sorry that big BOO BOO happened - somebody needs their "PEE PEE" spanked!!
