"Vietnam vets to reunite for first time in 43 years, thanks to Jim Beam, Kid Rock"

Bet your ass these great Americans will be honored at my concert! Can't say they will like the music or the show, but I am honored to have them attend and I know myself and fans will treat them right! We honor our military every night and tomorrow will be no different, but it will be extra special with these wonderful Americans in attendance! One more reason I'm so proud to be a part of the Jim Beam family.

My father was a huge fan had every single album knew the words to every single song you've ever done,it only took him 2 days to memorize the words to every song on the born free cd, he also attended your last 2 concerts at the puyallup fair. in Washington State. When Rock N Roll Jesus was released he was convinced you were his actual Rock N Roll Jesus! I wish we would have known sooner about vietnam vets concert maybe he would've held on until then. He too was in vietnam he was a gunner in the 25th infantry division, in 1969 he received the bronze star for heroism on the ground in combat, during a conflict in 1968. in which he never told any of us about. on Dec,17th 2010 we found out he had a massive inoperable brain tumor after he fell and hit his head and was rushed to the er. on the 21st he went to hospice we were hoping too be able to get his pain under control to bring him home but the tumor had doubled in size in one day. So we brought home to him. although cocky was his favorite he believed the Born Free Cd was written especially for him about him, on Jan.,17th,2011 at 4:30 a.m. he passed away listening to born free. Before he passed he made my mom promise to buy a case of born free cds to hand out to everyone at his memorial because he wanted everyone to feel joyous and happy not sad. he wanted them to feel the way he did when he heard your music, FREE, PROUD, HONEST,AND THE TYPE OF PERSON WHO DIDNT GIVE A FUCK WHAT ANYONE ELSE THOUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But u Rock Kid.... One day i'll get to 1 of your concerts.

Here is another poem I wrote... Locked up Locked behind wall's, Locked away from dream's, Looking for away out, Looking for away to dream, Feeling's all bottled up, Feeling's afraid to fall, Go a head let down your guard, Just let those tear's shed, Just let them fall, Stream down your face, Fearing the worst, With nothing to say, Just keep your head up my baby everything will be okay..... I hope that you like it!

Here is a poem I wrote Blessed Sitting here with a heart full of love, wishing that I had you to hug, Wishing I could hold you, Really wanting to kiss you, Can't get enough of you, Really wanting you, I'm more then blessed to have you, Can't wait to touch you, I already love you, What else can I do but wait until I'm home with you, God bless you, he already blessed me when I met you, God I really love you... .

RJ, You are so humble and a home kinda guy. I love MI even though I don't live there, the most wonderful man in my life came from Detroit until he left my life almost two years ago, Born Free is such a depiction of his life its almost spooky. He too was a veteran and loved his country and the state he was from. I look forward to meeting you someday and just talk, I still have family in MI and love them very much so I will be there, hope to see you in Nashville TN at the CMA Fest, maybe by some chance you will remember this note. BTW if you need a driver for that bus I have a CDL and I can cook too, LOL Keep up the awesome work you are wonderful and so is your staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dedicated to the Vietnam Vets, Kid Rock, & Jim Beam The Wall In Washington D.C. a monument stands to those who lost their lives in Vietnam Their names are carved in black granite. The survivors named it... the Wall This story is dedicated to all those heroes and we pledge we'll never forget.. I saw him standing all alone that night staring at the wall There were so many names to try and read But he searched through them all Then he spotted a wilted flower That someone had wedged in a tiny crack It was by a name that he seemed to know He-smiled as he stepped back Then I watched him reach out and touch the flower with a calloused hand, with tears in his eyes he whispered God, help me understand He was a lonely soldier drifting from day to day caught in between two worlds trying to find his way Somebody's restless hero Making his final call He had a special reason for coming ... to the Wall. I walked up and asked his name He told me "I'm Billy Rowe" He was dressed in a ragged uniform Said he fought in Vietnam a long, long time ago He said, "My life has been so confusing" But I' m trying to make the change It's just I miss my wife so very much Then what he said seemed strange He said “You know, all my old friends are here I can see now the time is finally right Then he turned and said goodbye to me and walked into the night I felt a force pull me to the Wall to tell me something I should know and then I saw that wilted flower as it begin to grow I could now plainly see the name from so many years ago one of many killed in Vietnam Private Billy Rowe I guess for some it's not easy the love they have lives on But that night Pvt. Billy Rowe Finally found his home He was a lonely soldier drifting from day to day caught in between two worlds trying to find his way Somebody's restless hero Making his final call He had a special reason for coming ... to the Wall.

You really brought the house down in Grand Rapids. I've been looking forward to the concert for weeks and it was one of the best I've been to. I love the way you appreciate the great state of Michigan, I'm sick of hearing this beautiful place bashed in the press, we need more people like you.
