Damn right the flag is a touchy issue....go to YouTube and search Selma. You'll note that not a month ago, the last Skynryd offered an apology and said it would never backdrop another show. No problem with modification, you can use the images, but, just not in the way that insults every free thinking human alive during the sixties by putting up the real thing. Common sense.

Great song and video recognizing our troops. My husband is currently active duty military and was in charge of closing the Al Asad, Iraq base in December 2011. It means a lot to the men and women deployed overseas to see you, Kid Rock, there with them and playing some music...... brings a part of home to the area where they are. Thank you for your tribute to our all our troops and soldiers. From October to early December the Red Cross is accepting Holiday cards to be given to wounded soldiers and veterans. Agree AJAY- those that don't see the Confederate Flag as a part of our American Heritage - are un-educated fools. I've had Kid Rock Fans dis- the rebel flag. Lynryd Skynryd has used the Flag many time in their stage shows, southern people are proud of it. It just was their individual strength in fighting big business in the North and those trying to take over manufacturing by monopolizing with big money. The south kept alive by running moonshine- farmers, country folk all trying to keep their familes fed and in good health. I like the Video , the song is OK as far as a Kid Rock song goes--glad Kid had the spark to want to give back to the service people. I like all the pics in the video except for the picture on the wall that says "Fuck Off" a bit offensive - at least too me as recently a Kid Rock Fan told me "Another Fan": to FO and its a bit touchy right now. Oversight? on Kid's part or if he know anything about it ???? Don't know......

Love the video. BTW i think it is horseshit they are gonna take the rebel flag off the General Lee. They wanna be politically correct....THEIR politics suck ass! I grew up watching Dukes of Hazard and seeing that in the video reminded me. What a punch of pussies to take that off. I am not racist in the least and i got a big problem with them associating the Confederate Flag with racism. I THINK IT IS HORSESHIT! The thought behind it makes it racist or not. I associate it with being a rebel and following your own path with a free spirit....THAT is what the Confederate flag means to me...

I had the same exact pair of python boots in highschool, then my foot grew so I out grew them and a few other pairs of really nice cowboy boots (and the boyfriend who bought them for me, hee,hee,hee). So, I suppose the blonde girl in a few of the still frames is most likely Kid Rocks girlfriend or the one he may get married to eventually. Huh? Gulp, gulp, ek-umm, cough, cough....sniffle, sniffle. I have to admit when I first heard the Title to this song was "Let's Ride" I pictured Kid on his Harley and the song to be about riding on the open road with the wind in your face and the feeling you get that goes with being a biker. I do like the song but not as much as I liked Born Free. I just viewed this video with the lyrics and that helps cuz I always make up some weird ones of my own until I see the lyrics! LOL! Love the fact that this was done as a song to Help our Men and Women get going and pumped as they serve our Country and keep us all FREE! That is what I LOVE about YOU KID!

Oh Kid how I'm melting at the sight of this video...Where do I begin? What a wonderful remedy for the troops to hear while they're over there. It would lift me up that's for sure, and have me holding my head up as high as the sky. Secondly, I was wondering if I could crawl under your belt buckle and live there?! I'm serious! Third, I noticed the Kidrock liscense plate on your vehicle, is it yours? If so then I know the story behind it since while wating to get mine here in Pa. they told me I had to drop the K in the name because it was considered a dead plate in Michigan. Apparently somone stole it and it was never recovered....say it isn't so. I've been sport'in mine since 1999 (see how it rhymes?).
