World Premiere New Single: "Let's Ride"
    Posted by
    October 01, 2012

“Let’s Ride” is the first single form Kid Rock’s new album “Rebel Soul,” due out November 19th. The single, as described by Kid Rock, is a “Song for our troops fighting for our Freedom around the world. It’s a song for them to play loud whenever and wherever they can, to fire them up when they need it, and to remember that people at home are thinking about them.” A companion video for the song is scheduled to shoot in the next few weeks.

The album, produced by Kid Rock himself, has songs ranging in styles, moods, and raunchiness, harking back to an era where one couldn’t imagine a Kid Rock record without a parental warning sticker. Other singles including “Chickens in the Pen,” “Happy New Year,” and “Cucci Galore” cross genres in ways never imagined on a single album. Kid Rock sums it up thusly – “Not the greatest record ever made, but it’s pretty fucking good in my humble opinion.”

Great song with a great meaning. We are a military family (Navy) and reading that one of your songs is for our troops who are away from their families and fighting this war is awesome. Thank you so much Kid Rock for bringing so much attention to our men and women in uniform. My husband has done 9 deployments, his last deployment was to Iraq and he returned home December 2011. I don't know if you remember but you commented to me last year thanking my husband, my kids and myself for our service. In that last post I put out the address for the Holiday Mail for Heroes Program. Each year the Red Cross collects cards between October and early December and then distributes them at military hospitals, veterans hospitals and other locations. Below are the Card Guidelines: Ensure that all cards are signed. Use generic salutations such as “Dear Service Member.” Cards addressed to specific individuals can not be delivered through this program. Only cards are being accepted. Do not send or include letters. Do not include email or home addresses on the cards: the program is not meant to foster pen pal relationships. Do not include inserts of any kind, including photos: these items will be removed during the reviewing process. Please refrain from choosing cards with glitter or using loose glitter as it can aggravate health issues of ill and injured warriors. If you are mailing a large quantity of cards, please bundle them and place them in large mailing envelopes or flat rate postal shipping boxes. Each card does not need its own envelope, as envelopes will be removed from all cards before distribution. All holiday greetings should be addressed and sent to: HOLIDAY MAIL FOR HEROES P.O. Box 5456 Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456 I feel kind of weird posting this on your comments but a lot of your fans read your comments and could possibly mail a card this year. Thanks again for your support. Can't wait to get your new album! Chris Kotwick
