I agree with some of what you are saying Star, I personally do not have time to go thru the tons of groups that have been put together by friends, yet I try and visit maybe once a month as that is all time will allow for. I also won't have much time to contribute to CARE, as well due to college. Although, I expect to have some extra time during the winter break. Most of those groups are groups of friendly people with the common interest of loving Kid Rock music and doing good things and having a good time doing it. Is Kid Rock God ?... pffft hell naw ! But his and TBT's music is heavenly and I base my spirituality around music in general... so I think it's a matter of how we individually see things and what we get from them. Hope everyone's been great !! And those who hate ~ fuck off !!

LOL, come on Star it looks to me like you keep on trend well. Agree with being cautious, but there are a LOT of fans in this club or who keep up on the internet and there is plenty of good will to go around. These folks who run these programs and charities work their butts off.

Think of how much this club would cost if Bob's peeps ran around monitoring everything on the internet.

And some of these folks that get nasty or angry are that way because they use it to vent which just escalates the fracas, when you add the "friend" components as in "sticking up for mine.". Or it could be because they are dealing with crisis in their own personal lives, and their fuse is already lit.

Hey RJL, you are still amazing. LOL. Scheduled the same day for the same stuff, 4th attempt, cannot get through the pre-prep. I wish us both good luck, and hope they can help you heal and feel better.

Star, this project is a little different, since Bex has been working on this concept awhile, and it took shape as part of a college assignment. As she works to help out her city and problems, she is offering a model for helping in your own community.

Hey Becky - Just spoke to accountant and he said to go to the PA. Board of CPA's and let them know that you are looking for some volunteer time, at least for the time being and if they can recommend anybody. He said that they do keep a list of folks willing and LOOKING for these opportunities.
Also, he said if she lives by a college... I SAID SHE JUST WENT BACK!!! :).... he said go talk to the tax professor and let him know what you are doing and ask if he could get a couple of volunteers from one of his classes as a class project and credit for their resume'.
The same for an attorney. I hope this helps somewhat.

you are rught Becky on the taking care of oneself. My Dad always says, if you don't take care of you, how can you be there to help others. Dad's right and you too. And did you watch that interview on wrif radio... so cool! God Bless him... so big!!!!!!! Thx for the leeway, and understanding. How is school? You know my niece just went back. I told her to get a bus mng degree so when she hits it big she can mng money better than me :))) She did, along with yrs of my Dad pounding it in her head. He still tries for me, but says he knows dif strokes dif folks and thinks maybe he sees that now.
Well... gotta go and as you always know, but I feel I just have to say one more time... I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!

Becky, sorry if I let you down. I have been dealing with so much since beginning of Sept... but so much good has come up too though. Just home from event. I can't promise, but I will ask our CPA and I will at least reach out to some att's. I can't promise anything... but always remember... anything is always possible.

Right now it's nothing more then a very small group making suggestions and bringing awareness to our own communities that we live in about volunteerism, donating, and helping out where we live. It's not a nonprofit organization at this time.. not sure it will ever be. We are talking about a lot of volunteer work inside our own communities, we were motivated by what Kid Rock has accomplished with giving back to his own community, as well as other communities, and so we celebrate and follow his example. What's it take to donate your time twice a month by serving homeless... taking that extra chunk of change and buying a bag a groceries or volunteering at a fundraising event. That's about it. And frankly, with college and work, I don't have a ton of time to be an administrator at this facebook group. I just believe is all. I believe in Miss Candy's mission, I believe in Miss Sonia's mission, and all of the greatness in-between. Those are the things that bring a smile to my heart and only wish for it to keep going the best way that I can contribute, too.

This whole thing came about from a topic I had to write about in college. My city needs a ton of help... like many out there.. and the city's community needs to start caring.

Sonia, thank you : ) I would love to hear your ideas on how to get it started. Are we attempting to help the same group? I doubt it because it's more getting involved in one's own community, I'd say... volunteering for the local pantry, donating food and clothes, donating goods to habitat for humanity... my city has a non-profit that goes around on clean-up the city events.. and a ton of non-profits for keeping kids occupied and in school... there's a non-profit for veterans helping homeless veterans.... so it's more about getting the word out, and getting out there and helping in anyway ya can with-in your own community... which I know you all do already :) Thanks again for helping to guide me.. you rock !!

I have to be short.. have my first major essay due in two days.. and I just joined up in a challenge at college (Win Win Situation) read 40 books by May 31, 2013 and get a cash scholarship of 400 bucks to help pay for textbooks. Talk about coolness !! Townsend Publishing is doing it via our college for 1st year students who don't read much.
