Who would have thought a group of Kid Rock fans could start and maintain a charity? One who only helps other Kid Rock Fans? Well it happened, on August 29th, 2011, the Kid Rock Life Line was born, all from one post from a fan in need after the flooding from Hurricane Irene. The founder of the organization, Sonia Woolf, reacted by starting a Chip in account and from there the charity grew.
Over the past year the charity has helped or provided comfort for over 30 fans. Recipients have ranged from those that suffered from a natural disaster to those that have had loved ones pass on. The KRLL has been able to donate money, goods, or clothing for those in severe need. For those that just need comfort, the call goes out to members to send cards and the KRLL will send a gift basket.
The KRLL is proud to announce the launching of its own website, www.kidrocklifeline.com. The website will now be our new home. The new website includes:
Disaster Preparedness information
Latest News so you can keep up with where help is needed
Application for Assistance (in case you need help)
A chat room for members
A discussion forum for members
An events calendar to keep up with disaster cycles or fundraising events
Twitter, so important messages will come right to your phone
A merchandise store will be added so that you can purchase KRLL merchandise with 100% of the proceeds going to the charity

Although we haven’t raised a great deal of money, we have come together as a family when it’s been needed and ALL members should be proud of that. The Board of Directors for the coming year are:
Sonia Woolf, Founder
Patty Tharpe
Cathy Krege
Jennifer Belcamino
Josee Pinard
Katie Carlo
Dawn Scovill
Vicki Richardson
Lisa Shinn-Jones
KRLL’s mission is clear. We provide immediate, essential support, comfort, and encouragement to fellow members of the community in the wake of natural disaster and personal tragedy. We will continue to help in whatever ways we can.
The Kid Rock Life Line is a non-profit, charitable group whose 501(c)3 status is pending. To donate, please find them on Facebook or visit www.kidrocklifeline.com.

Great post, Sonia! I must say, I get so much more out of KRLL on the giving end. I am humbled daily by the actions of the group as a whole. I am blessed to be a part of such an amazing bunch of Bob Ritchie fans. All I can say is, THANK YOU!! And thank you to all the member body, you have made such a difference in the lives of so many. Be it an instant message, flowers, cards, supplies...our ability to come together and help others in the name of music is so empowering. What it does for those in need, goes without saying...
