    Kid Rock gives new home to injured Macomb veteran

    Kid Rock once again demonstrated his support for U.S. troops on Saturday evening as he teamed up with Pulte Homes and a nonprofit assisting wounded veterans to present a new home to a Macomb County Army veteran who lost the lower part of his right leg in combat in Afghanistan.

    Mount Clemens native Sgt. Davin Dumar and his wife, Dana, were surprised as they walked into a model home only to see Kid Rock along with friends, relatives, the media and others waiting to greet them as they will receive a mortgage-free 2,600-square-foot colonial home near 22 Mile Road and Hayes in Macomb Township.

I have read this a few times before I was a sight member you are a truly beautiful person. it's so funny when I tell people of things you do and the look on their faces...They have no clue as to why when I first heard ya all those years ago you automatically became favorite #1 and still are. I think at 43 people are hoping I grow up... hehehe...well in their eyes I may not be but hey FORGET ABOUT 'EM! I guess my point here do as you always have... KEEP BEING BEAUTIFUL and TRUE to what you feel...then you know it's real.

No surprise to me once again. God blessed Bobby with an amazing talent that he shares with all of us. But most important he was givin an amazing heart. He by far is the most giving person I know (and I dont know him, but would love 2) . The gifts he gives such as this story of a wounded veteran and his family being givin a home is just a drop in the bucket of what his kindness has givin to alot of people. and even to countless organizations. We were blessed to be able to spend his 40th bday celebration with him and I was crying because of all he was giving to the local community of detroit and was blessed to see him receive a award from the mayor of Detroit. He works soooo hard so all of his fans can have great music to listen 2 and does so much for our troops and I know they have got to appreciate him. He is a man of honesty, integrity and brings so much to my days in more ways then he can imagine. I listen to him him from the time i get uo to the time I go to bed there are so many days that his music has put me in a better place. LOVE LOVE the new song and can not wait until 11/19 to get the cd. I am thrilled 2 know there will be a tour I am having withdrawls. The last show was the Allegan county fair last fall in fact seen your shows like 5 times in a year. Keep makin great music and keep givin you trully our a wonderful person. someday i will meet u( well i touched you and your redwing jersey at your show at dte) but i live not far from u and I am always saying I need a road trip to fing you. Hey Bobby, once again, you give all of us hope. There are still people out there who care! Life is pretty tough for all of the hardworking Americans these days, it is easy to lose hope. It is people like you who help us hang onto that. I want to share a poem I wrote, definately not directed at you. I just thought it might be a good place to share. Keep up the love, can't wait to see you on the cruise this year, I save for it all year and looking forward to it gets me through the daily crap... We live in a free country, but it is anything but free At least for the hard working, caring people like me. They say we must vote, that we all have a choice But if you aren’t rich and a liar, you don’t have a voice. The politicians spend millions to trash each other on our public TVs While we work two jobs and live on macaroni and cheese. The rich get richer while the middle class gets poor. Illegal immigrants, welfare lifers, and criminals have rights galore. America, the great melting pot, is boiling over the top As the wealthy and the lazy take it all, it just has to stop! The lies and the greed and the political correctness crap Are forcing the few good people left to go crazy and snap. When the middle class are all on welfare or just out of their mind A total economic collapse can’t be far behind. I want to stand up and shout, I want to be heard But I’m just a middle class white girl, no one hears a word. We need to take back our country before it’s too late Before we destroy ourselves with stupidity, drugs, greed and hate. I work for a living, I work hard and I care But I could live better off if I lived off welfare. I’d have cheap housing, food stamps, and a free monthly check. Maybe I’d sleep at night. Don’t forget free health insurance, even a free cell phone, apparently that’s not a privilege, but a right!? Its so great to see you giving back! Esp to the veterans, who need SO MUCH now. (I am one,but also help them.) I have a 16yr old son with Downs Syndrome who is OBESSED with Kid Rock's music, his social life, he prays that he will stop smoking (and was upset to learn he smokes from a photo on youtube). He spends EVERY afternoon "practicing" his music, by putting on headset, bringing up Kid Rock songs on youtube and singing along with them over and over until he's gotten them right. For my sister's 50th bday party, he stunned me, his mother, when he got up with his ipod, spoke to the sound guy and voluntarily sang "Lonely Road of Faith" to the music from memory to my sister. That was his gift to her. Until then, I had only witnessed severe bouts of social anxiety in my Jeremy (aka J-Man, aka Uncle Kid Rock). That night he sang for 40-50 strangers and had my sister in tears. His speech isn't perfect, but his timing is and he sings FROM THE HEART - its so obvious. His 10th grade yearbook photo was of him in his usual garb..jeans, white t-shirt, black leather jacket, and a black hat with a brim. He lives and breathes Kid Rock. I know this is just one of so many with Down's, but I am telling you if there is ever ANY way to contact my son, a piece of Kid's heart will be taken from my son and he won't give it back;Kid Rock will also leave knowing he owns a piece of the J-Man's heart forever.He IS A VERY SPECIAL GIFTED BOY and his choices are limited here in life.Maybe we can change that.How do I reach him? I'd love to send him photos.I've been told continued speech therapy is a waste of time at 16,but I won't give up. I believe the boy has a LOT more to say and maybe,just maybe, to sing. How can we send photos,videos,etc to Kid Rock and have him at least receive them?Do you know he has signed his name as Kid Rock on our pizza deliveries?! LOL poor guy had to come back for a legit signature! My son is truly unique - he almost shines&"speaks to god".Clearly,he's the coolest.

Just one more reason of why I love Kid Rock. It is awesome when people are blessed with wealth they dont loose sight of those in need. If everyone who could helped like that maybe this country wouldnt have so many going without. No matter how much Kid has he is still down to earth and never forgets others in their time of need.
