Sometimes it's hard to be a woman
Giving all your love to just one man
You'll have bad times
And he'll have good times
Doin things that you don't understand
But if you love him
You'll forgive him
Even though he's hard to understand
And if you love him
Oh, be proud of him
Cause after all he's just a man
Stand by your man
Give him two arms to cling to
And something warm to come to
when nights are cold and lonely
Stand by your man
And show the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
Stand by your man
Stand by your man
And show the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
Bless you for being a devoted
Bless you for being a devoted fan, but seriously....if you cannot see the point, then there is nothing to be done.
It's not about you, or your remorse or lack of it...it's about THEM, because they were never allowed a slot.
And I'd keep your comments to me, mine, and I. I think it is way presumptuous for you to speak in the "we."
NO ONE is rubbibng it in.
NO ONE is rubbing it in. Yes we are blessed to be going once again, yet last year the newbies were blasted by the alumni so it hits two-fold. We are not hogs and took our spot as designated. As I stated we are sorry for those who did not make it but I will say once again I show no remorse for being given a chance once again. Casting stones gets someone nowhere.
Oh for crying out loud, it
Oh for crying out loud, it just makes common sense to open up some slots to new KRC members, because you have to keep the whole fan vibe going. These new folks will be the ones who pay for Hall of Fame tickets and recap/historical stuff just as much as the rest, and who knows what the new folks will contribute in the future.
Certainly most who come and stay will pay, which makes it possible for Bob and TBT to tour.
Those of you who have been before are first blessed by being financially able to do it in this economy, second blessed by having a slot given in the past, and third, kind of obnoxious to come here and rub it into those faces who didn't make the cut.
These folks are just voicing their displeasure with the system used. For those
previously on the boat to come here with the veiled threat that you shouldn't complain because you will be "on the boat with the alumni" or are "pissing and moaning" is just an example of how the "I'm a better fan than you..." mentality can go overboard.
hey I know somebody must of
hey I know somebody must of got ours cause we promised One cruise so someone new is going. I agree going a zillion times is pig glutton my view may not be every one elses view though.
I was a newbie last year
I was a newbie last year belonged to the KRC and that is I how I received my booking priority over the general public. We are sorry for those of you who did not get to book. However there is a waiting list and this is how some of our group made in to the boat last year. Save your money as if you were already booked then when you get the call you will be set to go. Last year there were more newbies than alumni so I am not sure if you signed up for presale later than everyone else. Make sure you us the same email address as what you use for KRC as I had two email addresses last year and my KRC addy had about a week earlier booking time than my alternate address. However I do not think casting stones @ prior cruisers is the best way for you to approach this afterall if you do get on the cruise then you will have to share space with the alumi. But we are fun. Are you signing up for the presale or just joining the waiting list as those who were signed for the presale are taken from the waiting list before general public. This will be my 2nd time and I don't have any remorse of going two years in a row. We are on a much smaller ship this year that holds 300 - 400 less peeps. It also went up in price by 150.00 or more per person. My guess is they still have to pay the artist regardless. Fuel cost is outrageous and so are the airline tickets this year. Someday you will make it on. I really don't think I will pay for a 3rd time but who knows, that is what I said after the 1st trip. Good luck to ya.
Instead of moaning and
Instead of moaning and groaning about It.Do something.Like get your ass on the boat.
If you really want to go that badly there are other means of going. Its really easy to sit here and piss and moan, but how badly do you really want to go?I know so many people that got on via the waiting list, finding other roomates via facebook.there are always spot opening up thru out the year.
So really stop bitching and get on the ship,or zip yer lip.
I agree with BLUE. Yeah i get
I agree with BLUE. Yeah i get the vets should have a play @ tickets. But put a certain lot of them tickets up for newbies. Me personally....i am waiting to finish school. This will be my present to myself. I will find out how much each room is and it's occupancy before i commit to any ticket with anybody. Money is tight...especially when you pay your own freight all the way around. Just me, myself and I pay my way for my house, college, bills, taxes etc....I am truly hoping if they let you bring 1 bottle of your own booze they allow hard alcohol...i feel a Jeremiah Weed's sweet ice tea fifth will be packed with me if so...
Certainly agree the bulk of
Certainly agree the bulk of the booking should be with proven payers, however, due to the smaller number of slots (but, hopefully, tres improved dining, etc.), think next time there should be a certain number allotted to "first time fans" most fairly, by lottery. Yes, by the end of the sail date there are slots available, but that is stressful to wait. New fans will buy and support the band as well as us who have been around for decades, right?
Also, don't throw apples, but
Also, don't throw apples, but I understand about the veterans getting the first pick..they were there from the beginning of this whole 'experiment'-and I truly think it is way cool that some fans will have been on all of the cruises. You will see if you get on that clearly half of all cruisers (at least last year) were newbies....there was an unofficial hands-up at the Sail-Away concert last year.
I know it can be frustrating,
I know it can be frustrating, Kay. I joined the KRC in Nov. 2010; way late in the game for the cruise, but investigated anyway..sold out of course. As time went by, spots became available. I did not know enough about it to commit in 2011. Then decided to go with my nieces for the 2012 cruise, and met some great friends along the way..:) I didn't have trouble booking as a KRC member for CTM3 or CTM4, but like Cheryl said, about 400 less peeps this time around (and a nicer boat.) So this will be my 2nd cruise; got on and am happy--but believe me, you WILL see spots open up, and as someone else pointed out, the payment schedule has been accelerated, so you will prolly know earlier than those in the past. Save your money, stay on the wait list, and it will most likely happen. I truly have not heard from anyone who really, really wanted to go that didn't get to-ppl cancel for many reasons along the way.
PS if you get on the boat after this, you owe me a drink ;)
I was a first time cruiser
I was a first time cruiser last year and I booked earlier than most because I belonged to the KRC. The reason it sold so fast is that we are on a smaller ship. There are first time cruisers from the KRC that booked this year. The waiting list works try it.
We should get the 1st chance
We should get the 1st chance not a freaking waiting list ,the other people have been at least 1 time we never got a chance and I think Kid Rock should review this it is fuckin bullshit I am a die hard fan KRC member own just about all the Kid rock shirts Jersey etc and can not get shit but a waiting list. The people they call veteran crusiers get 1st chance they nedd to step back give us a shot and they get the waiting list.
This was my first time trying
This was my first time trying to go on the cruise this year & got on the 2nd day of presale for new cruisers, just by chance....so it's not only veteran cruisers that get on. I think the process seems fair, go on the waiting list cause some people will have to cancel for whatever reason. Good luck:)
Get on the waiting list Kay
Get on the waiting list Kay-that's how I got on last year. I got a cabin in February and we sailed in April.
