This year was my first time going to Sturgis and part of the reason I bought tickets in February was because I heard that KR was supposed to perform there again. Well, he didn't! Sturgis was still a good time but me and my crew were disappointed that our boy KR wasn't there. Perhaps he can be booked at the Buffalo Chip next year?! :-)

Hi Kid:

I heard recently that you were interested in promoting talented but little-known artists, maybe even putting out a CD. I couldn't see anything on the site about this, though. Where can I get more information about this possible project, and how would I go about suggesting a wonderful, but little-known artist to you? The person I am thinking of is Megan Slankard, an excellent singer-songwriter based out of San Francisco. Her latest album, "A Token of the Wreckage|" has a fabulous title track. She's also super-energetic and crowd-friendly in concert and, in fact, dueled with Train's lead singer, Pat Monahan, in Train's six San Francisco shows earlier this year. I have no financial interest in Megan Slankard; I just think she's truly a gem of an artist who can write poetically and sing evocatively. You might really enjoy her and her music.

I don't know if you all saw Toni's post but the care package from MID was so kind.

I have always been a big fan and my child is now big fan too. I was watching the news of Mitt Romney’s VP announcement of Paul Ryan when at the end of Paul Ryan’s speech they started playing “Born Free”. For a person who will not sell his songs on I-Tunes because you do not believe I-Tunes should tell you how to sell your songs and for someone who will not let American Idol use your songs because you feel artists should work hard and not receive a free ride (I agree with both) I was shocked you would let a political party use your song. To take a song that is so American and to associate it with a political party cheapens the song. It does not matter which political party is using it, it will never have the same meaning to me again.

I loved hearing Born Free as Romney announced his VP, makes me smile.....Romney couldn't have picked a better rocker to show his partnership in supporting the USA and it's citizens!

I have always been a fan of kid rock. My good friend Gary just went on a cruise with the band he said it was great. I would go to the pistons game just to see him, But was to shy to say hi to him. My life has been the worst it has ever been. When I am lonely and scare I love to listen to his voice. It doesn't matter what song I listen to they are all great and they make me feel like their is still hope in life. I wish their were more people like Kid Rock he is very kind and has his head on straight and he cares for others. I love you Mr Kid Rock I have seen you in concerts and a few other places in Detroit shhh lol. If you are every around warren rd you know where..I would love to ride my Harley next to you. That would make my life complete. As far as these comments people make, I wouldn't change one thing about you or your great music..You are the Best! Toni V

Hey Kid...I just bought a brand new car; my 2002 Geo finally had it's last trip. I bought a black Kia Soul...it's great! But it would be fantastic if I could get a KID ROCK license plate for it! I looked in the MID store....not finding any car accessories. Thought I give you a heads up on a great idea. Hope to see something soon. I might have to design my own, but would prefer the original KID ROCK!!!

So call me crazy, but I'm looking for Kid music on iTunes and it's infested with "in the style of" or "a tribute to" Kid Rock--I thought for a moment that you were dead! What the heck? Am I missing something? Perhaps iTunes takes too much profit? How are there sooooo many covers of your music? I'm not even sure where I can find a music store anymore, and I'd much prefer to purchase "in the Cloud"--have I just missed your albums on iTunes or is this by design? Thanks for all you do for our communities--read your foundation info, and I love to see someone of your stature giving back--I hope other public figures catch the fever. I am a teacher and I remind my students often of JFK's quote, "to those whom much is given, much is expected," and you are living that motto. Thank you.

hi ~ curious about a couple things.....

did KR ever get the detroit stop light with the lions, redskins & made in detroit? we were at the peru airport show & were told it was going to get to him & go on one of the busses. the show was yet another.....great time. august 2011 in tinley park was our FAVORITE show~so much that if there is a new tour in january 2013 promoting new album....we would use that as part of our honeymoon :) although we live outside chicago....would certainly be happy to go to see a tour kick off show :)

also ~ will the KR baseball hat with the bottle opener ever come back?? i did not order a back up one for myself & have had several people ask me where i got it.

thanks & can't wait to hear the new album....have every CD & have been listening for 20 years!!!
