    Detroit Princess Cruise Idea
    rocksavedmysoul says (03 Aug '12)

I was wondering if anyone in Kids' camp has ever thought about possibly renting out the Detroit Princess and having a KR cruise for the KRC along the Detroit River. It would be cool for those people who cannot make the Chillin' the Most Cruise, to still cruise with other KR fans. Kid could make an appearance as well if he so chooses. The dj could play all KR songs. It would be an affordable way for everyone to cruise. Think about it, please. Thanks. A possible foundation fundraiser?

Deadly debutante: Detroit Princess Riverboat shooter of seven remains at large

DETROIT — Detroit police say they know who their suspected shooter is; they just haven't found her.

The Hot 107.5 "On Deck Sunday" Moonlight Cruise kicked off about 10:30 p.m. Sunday, billed as a festive, dress-to-impress event featuring a cash bar and musical entertainment.

But there was nothing festive about the gunfire that struck seven people, critically injuring one, as the night came to a conclusion.

The "night-club-atmosphere" river jaunt overlooking the Detroit-Windsor skylines from aboard the Detroit Princess Riverboat quickly turned violent when tempers flared about 1 a.m. early Monday.

Detroit police on Tuesday said the suspected shooter, a 28-year-old woman donning a green dress while aboard the boat, fled after the ruckus in an early 2000s gray Ford Explorer and remains at large.

An "altercation" ensued aboard the 1,800 passenger former gambling boat between the suspect and other individuals, but the tensions hadn't subsided when the boat came into port near Atwater and Civic Center Drive.

Police say a woman returned as passengers unloaded from the ship and opened fire, striking seven people. Three male victims, ages 31, 25, 29; and four female victims, ages 37, 24, 26, and 33, received gunshot wounds to the bodies.

The 31-year-old male is critically injured while the remaining victims suffered serious injuries, according to Detroit police.

Anyone with information on this crime is encouraged to call the Detroit Police Department at 313-596-1340.

It might be a good alternative to our KR summer concert blues....

MsB: ha ha, my parents always joked that they honeymooned on Zug Island!

Ty used it to premier his CD, and Bex wrote up the experience the way she does..... Wish I could find it and bring it up. It could be an excellent fan prize, tickets for a one day/nite event, proceeds to the Kid Rock Foundation. Then, they could auction off some old memorablia and donate that to charity. If you can gamble on it, you play for the charity. Be nice to dress up, have a nice dinner.....and absolutely fireworks to end.

I am homesick and want to come home!!!!!!!!! Love Atlanta---but it's not HOME. If this happens---I'd LOVE to come :-)
We could plant the "Redneck Paradise" flag on beautiful Zug Island-----lmao :-)

Our group had kind of planned on doing this trip over the summer but after Toni's fire, we just didn't put the plan into action. I would love to do this next summer and make it all Kid Rock based (we were just going to do the Motown cruise thing). I really think it would be a blast. Hi right back at ya" K8.

What a great idea. I haven't been on the Detroit Princess, but did take a cruise on the Maumee River in Toledo several years ago. Much fun. I would be first in line to buy a ticket for a Kid Rock Mini Chillin The Most Cruise

That is a rock'n idea. You Michiganers would have such a good time. Kid or no Kid, love meeting up with good peep! Hope this comes to fruition, RSMS XO

I like this idea, and sure hope it happens someday.

sounds like an expensive trip to me (lol) might be one way to get my ass to Detroit though, huh??
sadly I don't see a Detroit trip in my near future--between bills, the cruise a Disneyland trip and me planning a 25 year wedding anniversary party my monies a bit tied up, but please keep me informed if this idea looks like it will happen (lol)
