Rebecca, I look at it as a starting point, just like with Medicare and Medicaid. Due to pork belly politics there is a lot of unsavory stuff in the healthcare bill, but I also know that as those issues come up, legislation will be passed to add more, change or whatever is needed.
Our medical system is in tiered triage now. How can adding more benefits, especially for folks who never had access to preventative healthcare, be intrinsically bad? Do we plan to just line up folks and shoot them when they get sick to save money?

Welp, I for one consider myself blessed to have decent insurance. And I'll bet you'll have a lot of folks in 2015 insured for the first time, that wouldn't give it back. Cancer drugs are EXPENSIVE.
