    I would get 20 to Life---but the world be rid of this son of a bitch--if I met them. How can someone do this to our unconditional--loving--furry Friends?? I am furious.

    Hope, the dog found brutally tortured in Texas last week, has a new home. According to the Parker County Sheriff's Office, the pug mix has been adopted by the family whose ranch she was first spotted wandering on.
    Charlie and Kit Moncrief have agreed to adopt Hope, who continues to recover from what the Dallas Morning News described as "one of the worst cases of animal cruelty ever reported in the county." Hope was found dehydrated, her mouth sealed shut with electrical tape and her tongue protruding. She had five large cuts that took more than 100 stitches to close.
    "I have known the Moncrief family for many, many years," Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said in an emailed statement to Yahoo News. "I can't think of a better family for Hope to belong to. She will think she is in heaven at her new home with her new family."
    Veterinarians at Bowie Drive Animal Hospital say that Hope, who is estimated to be between 3 and 4 years old, will make a full recovery, though she may need part of her tongue removed.
    Hope's story, coming the same week as a dog was put to sleep in Northern Ireland for looking like a pit bull, garnered worldwide media attention--and more than $35,000 offered for information leading to an arrest in the case.
    Fowler said they have investigated several leads but are still seeking the suspect or suspects involved.
    "This is the bottom line," Fowler added. "If they will torture a defenseless creature, what else are they capable of?
    We need to find the person(s) responsible for this."

I am an LVT (licensed veterinary technician) here in Southeast, Michigan. I have seen so much brutality on innocent animals. I would LOVE to exact some justice on these SOBs for what they have done. But, all I can do is treat their wounds, show them love and try to show them they CAN trust humans again.

The mark of a predatory mind, they should find that person before he/she decides to move on to children. We had some twisted person stabbing helpless llamas at a farm down the road. Just walking up to the fence and stabbing them. We do live in a dangerous world.

Wow. That is some twisted shit right there. They taped the dogs mouth shut and slit it open. Basically bleeding the poor dog out and making it to where she couldn't drink and replace all the blood she bled out. Somebody is down right sick as fuck and evil as fuck too! If they didn't want her why didn't they just take her to a pound or something and drop her off after hours?? People are very callous nowadays is all i know....and in this heat too. No doubt their intention was to kill her...sick, just sick!

someone needs to afflict that person (or people) with the same brutality that they afflicted on poor Hope..
but they do not deserved to be rescued, or brought into a caring affectionate home.. this is so disturbing and sick... WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE??????? Pugs are one of my favorite breeds..My last 2 rescue dogs (one from the out door elements and one from a shelter) were pug mixes, they make the best loyal friends ever.. I pray Hope will live out the rest of her life being well taken care of... sad story msb but thanks for sharing..
