Being from Michigan it felt as though he was writing stories of my life. I know the area he sang about "down on Main St.". He is the voice of the Midwest.......until Bobby came along. Now Kid Rock has become that voice, heart and soul. They are both such talented singers, songwriters, musicians, fathers and all around good people!

most of it... audio out again. geeze :(

finally got to hear it... amazing, truly sweet! The humbleness still shows and that's a beautiful thing, never loose that :)))

That was a great induction speech, KR!!! And it couldn't be more true. Bob Seger's clear, well-written lyrics continue to inspire and thrill..as well as the SBB--Love Alto Reed, Chris Campbell, and the rest of the crew. Seger is working on a new album, and is set to play live again beginning this November...if you have not seen Seger and Co. lately--PLEASE DO!!! I believe he will be hitting locations he missed last tour, so we won't see him in MI again until possibly 2013. Also, check out bobseger.com for the latest (PS we love you over there too, Bob Ritchie..many crossover fans, my friend....)..a great group of ppl there. And Margo--you're going with me to the next MI Seger show--be ready!!

Thank you, WebCrew, for sharing this with us. Bob Seger and his music has influenced me throughout my life, but especially in my earlier hurting days, when I needed to hear his words, voice, and music to see me through. I am so happy for you, Mr. Ritchie, that you were the one to be honored with inducting Mr. Seger to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Through Mr. Seger’s influence in your life and your artistry, you honor him well. The words you spoke were heart-felt; and as nervous as you proclaimed to be, you were eloquent, humorous, intelligent, and humble. I couldn’t help but think, believe, and pray as you were speaking, that similar words will be said upon your induction. Your countless years of dedication to music and artistry deserve such recognition. For if it is true that Rock and Roll Never Forgets, I’m waiting for 2015 when the website says you’re eligible, because there is no doubt in my mind of how you have influenced rock and roll. You saved my soul. I’ve been to the Cleveland spot and I’ll be there again when you, Mr. Ritchie, are given the honor. How can you disclaim BECKXYas she says for countless similar testimonies on your website “Hmmm…what is it about Bob and the band that we will just get in a vehicle, and drive just about anywhere to see a show…lol Dedication? Loyalty? Truth? - or just Believing? Besides what other band out there ‘these days’ gives us the greatest music, performance, and a beat to stomp our feet? Ain’t nobody out there that can top ‘em in my book. Forever love the Kid Rock!!!” And I do.

Love Bob Seger, still listening to his music. I grew up on Bob Seger, my parents were fans & took me to my 1st concert to see him when I was in the 3rd grade & now my kids listen to his music :)
