Siblings born in Texas state, 2 boys 1 girl, things were great. Father in the navy, California bound, mother followed to San Diego , a naval town. Then one day a baby girl born, 9/6/69 to be exact, then the family moved to Texas, to their home they went back. One day father napped the kids and moved to the Texas coast, a different life they would have to host. Mother was hunting , or maybe not. Neglect and abuse, by the day, the kids got. A life of abuse and neglect, the kids never knew a life perfect. They might have known, if they were ever shown. In a world of abuse and neglect, no one there for them, no one to protect a life of abuse and neglect, the kids were subject. Then one day coming a knock at the door, the police and grandmother, like angels flown. Children beaten and bruised, lying on the floor, no other way of life they had known. A life of abuse and neglect, the kids never knew a world perfect. They just might have known if they were ever shown. So they locked that mother fucker up 5 years behind bars, never taught him right, he never saw stars, never saw the light. 5 years later out of the pen only to get out and do it again. Back that mother fucker got locked, the gasps and dropped jaws, no one should have been shocked. A life of abuse and neglect, the kids never knew of a world perfect. They might have known if they ever were shown. Meanwhile kids grew up, and one by one, left that crazy bitch, so they didn't get more fucked up. Only to join a relationship , suspect, to once again see a pattern of abuse and neglect. One day she awoke, and that horrible pattern she broke. Many years of therapy with doc and the man. It was time for a different life to plan. Now grown with children of her own, the life she had her children will never have known. Hard work and 4 years college with honors down, she's planted her feet firmly on the ground. A life of abuse and neglect. She never knew a life so perfect. She might have known if she were only shown. Now with a beautiful man of 20+ years she's grown, but still can't escape the life she had known. Father out and did it again, only to find his destiny rotting, dying, in the pen. Mother, fucking crazy, tried to help her within, only to realize she would always live in sin. She got sicker by the hour but did not make me lose my power. Further away, my family I'd keep, never losing a minute of sleep. Now with the man my children now call father, my 3 loving boys and a son and daughter from another mothers she's raising, heart, career, and life afire and blazing. A life of abuse and neglect, her duty now to love and protect, from those cruel, sick mother fuckers who take us angels as suckers. So now her cup is not half empty but full, with the world around her sometimes quite cruel. She walks with her head held high and a smile on her face. Her life now full of love, life and grace. Nothing could ever take it's place. Children grown and making a life of their own. More love and kindness she could not have shown. For a life of abuse and neglect has become more like a life perfect. A life she had yearned for. Now she can close the door and be happy forever more, in a cruel world of abuse and neglect. Now the days grow shorter and life not so long, so she sends her story to Kid Rock in a song. So she grows older and watches her grandchildren play in the sand and with a big smile, puts that life behind her and hopes to stay around for a long while! Now she helps others trying to recover from a world of abuse and neglect to a life more perefect. One by one they rise with a smile on their face, erecting their lives from a crazy place. Paying forward all the love she had grown to all people, races, and color who knew the life she had known. Now she carries a constant smile on her face and the human kind becomes a better race. She has now found her perfect place without abuse, neglect, that perefect place,

freedom rings, it never knocks, soldiers march like tunes to hip hop, they never stop, fighting wars like a super cop. Ripping and roaring through the land, fighting wars hand in hand. Giving to us our freedom man as best they can. Yes it's the promise land. Winning wars and dying hard, filling our countries grave yard. Winning hearts of purple and making making hearts of blue, missing their families they give their love to. All for the red white and blue so you all know what to do. Support our sisters and brothers from other mothers and give back to all the others, who support our country, our cities, our lands and reach out with open arms and warm hands. Let's all rock with Kid in the free land and bring our troops home from the sand and put them back in the promise land. So they can greet their wife, kid, or friend and put this ugly war to end. freedom rings , it never knocks, soldier march like tunes to hip hop. They never stop like a super cop. So give your thanks, respect , and love and pray they come back safe to the man above. Pray that no man ever fights over religion, oil, or money and make our country , as Steve Miller would say, sweet as honey. And all man join as one kind, and leave war, fighting, and hatred behind. When Lennon imagined all people as one, he was smart and followed his heart. Imagining all people in piece and love, no devil below us, no God above. But the real world is evil and good and we have more than our hearts telling us what it should. For there is a devil below and a God above and we all should show brotherly love. Whether black, Mexican, Indian , Asian , or White we all fly the country's same kite. A stitch of red, white, and blue which our troops all fought for and died for too. So stay true to the colors that unite us and make us one and may our past mistakes and wars be undone. Freedom rings , it never knocks, soldiers feet march like time clocks. Life's time keeps ticking, under God, in one nation, may we all keep kicking. For freedom rings it never knocks. That's what Kid tells us when he rocks. May it never stop. May it never stop.
