I am reviewing whether to re-new my membership in the Fan Club. I've seen that there are "two" categories to enter. One where you pay more for membership and you get a T-Shirt. Not really sure why there has to be 2 categories. Either your a FAN and you get special notice on concerts and up-dates, or simply you are not a fan.
Why have two ??? I love the idea that you get early concert sales- with Kid's fame these days that does not even guarantee you a ticket.
Even in the Fan Base, as they sell out so quickly. It is Fan's buying 4 tickets and re-selling them to other fans. The last Concerts of Kid's I've gone to I've had to rely on other fans to get me tickets- I'd like to be able to do that myself but can't there be an option that Every Fan in the Club is guaranteed at least one ticket to the shows or some sort of ticket offered that allows this???? We all have grown to know most all in the club, however I understand the Fan base grows every year- which is great but the LONG TERM Fans - at least some miss out on opportunities. It would be awesome to be assigned a membership # with some sort of guarantee you can go to any Kid Concert that you can manage cost of - just knowing you have a ticket for yourself in advance. Just an Idea-- ??? Input appreciated......

Hun, I don't know what to tell you. I just checked myself, when down to the bottom and accessed all "KR Congregation" options and I can see everything. If you choose "KRCongregation Forum" it will take you to the private forum and private messaging, where you need to log in if you want to post. You can read it with just the ten dollar membership.
Please try it again, and confirm.
Every fan everywhere wants guaranteed access to all live shows. VERY EXPENSIVE option. If your comments can get this feature added the next time the Fan Club/Site is updated, which will be part of the package when the next CD is released this Fall, kudos to you.

Maybe I'm not following BSS, but I was signed in??? I did have a short lapse in my membership, but when I tried to read a Congregation members post, it told me I had to be a member to see it.
I knew of several people who had issues buying pre-sale tickets, I just hope its all been straightened out, I know for myself "SIMPLE" is better by that meaning ONE membership - I do like the $10 option as I as many have tons of t-shirts, and really I only want from a membership access to pre-sales and other functions for being a member, I would suggest only that members be given some sort of membership ID so that when going to venues ONE seat at least is given for having a membership at the guaranteed slot for being a member-- if you use it fine, if not it can be released the week before the show for non-members. Just a thought- that way your GUARANTEED a show ticket for being a member. Maybe that is asking too much?? Thoughts???

You must sign on to comment or post anywhere. If you sign on, you are a paid member, and you see all the posts.
If you do not sign in, then, you cannot comment anywhere, nor can you read folks post/comments/blog who either posted in the Community Forum using the Congregation as their choice of category or signed in first through The KRC and commented or blogs.
All this double standard, two levels, why can't we all see everything, is because you do not bother to sign in or you refuse the ten buck annual membership fee.
I agree, one forum is easier, but, I like the Community forum to post in better. If you want exclusive private posts (from anyone anywhere who comes here to just read), then just go to the bottom menu and select KRCongregation forum, then sign in. If you want private private posts, use the private message feature at the KRCongregation forum. If you do not want others to see your posts, then choose "KR Congregation" as the category on the Community forum.

If you want to see all the postings here at the Community forum or over at the KRC forum or blogs, all you have to do is sign up for KRC membership for ten bucks.
For those new or renewal members who want the whole sheebang....the T shirt, the ice scraper, etc., they have a choice of the more expensive option which also gives them the same access as above.
Both membership options give you access to presale tickets and other goodies, like meet and greets and contests.
If you are a KRC member and want everyone to see your post, just start a discussion or post a comment on the Community forum, then all have access to it. The only posts that are blocked off on the Community forum are from KRC members who log in at the KRC and post a blog comment there or when starting a discussion here, choose "The KR Congregation" for the category.
As for the pretty much unused membership only KRC forum, it's there and provides private messaging. Every fan club pretty much offers a private forum option. I think we are lucky that we have the Community forum where both paying members and folks off the street can start discussions. Folks just seem to like the open Community forum better than the private KRC forum, why, I don't know.
Again, you get access to everything for just ten bucks, which I think is pretty reasonable, since I am on fixed income. Thanks to Bob and his management for providing the two tiers approach. I appreciate it, and hope it doesn't change. I have more T shirts than I can count.
The KRC fan club has thousands of members at both tiers. It would be a nightmare to offer a ticket to each fan club member automatically, and I don't know of a fan club in the industry that does it. The logistics of who is going to the show or passing would be administrative chaos.
I can see the need to expand the number of seats available to members in the presale, seems like more and more are unsuccessful there.
Seems to me like we are given "equal rights" for ten bucks.

I just re-joined only this time at the $30 rate, I know I know --- the $10 membership was really all I needed, I've got tons of T-Shirts and the package the KR gives for membership is nice and all -- but heck , I buckled . I still feel only ONE membership is what should be offered. We are ALL FAMILY as Kid pointed out on the Cruise and we ALL should have Equal rights.

For overseas Fans the " benefits " are even less ,
Cool to get a chance to win a place in a video clip or buy tickets for US concerts but a minium chance I would use it.
Advance tickets sale , also very cool , but the last time Kid Rock and T.B.T visited The Netherlands was in 2008 , and there Isnot an advance buying tickets buying overhere so thats useless for me (Us ) too .
Whats left is reading the Congregation member posts you can't see on here without membership ...............

I agree about the membership options----have ONE membership-----and then if someone wants to purchase a T-shirt at sign up----maybe have an option where they can purchase it separately? Mine expires tomorrow---but I'm just going to get the $10 one this time. And save the extra $20 for one beer on the Cruise---lol :-)

I was comped a membership
I was comped a membership last year...i haven't renewed this year. I just don't have the time. Being in college full time and working part time i am missing out on my regular life...Basically all the things i love doing...i saw a show the other day only because it was less then 20 minutes from my house and i knew i could get in and out quick. Plus i like Tesla...hard working band with some great songs and a great attitude.
I just keep telling myself it will all be worth it next year...The sacrifices we make....the chances that we take...for the lives we wanna save...each and every day...
So wait til November to put up them Cruise IV tickets and shit like that. That way i am almost done with school and see the light @ the end of the tunnel so to speak. I dunno if i will buy a KRC membership...i like the chance to buy early and info and such. But honestly buying one ticket i can get a ticket easy just about any time. Well of course unless i move to Michigan...which after this year of school who knows??? Hell i don't even know where, when, how, and what i will be doing....
I gotta go...but yeah it would be nice to be guaranteed a ticket with a membership...even the $10 memberships. As far as all that goes it is well worth it for most. I liked having it so i could see all the threads. Being female and nosey that drove me fucking crazy not to see threads!

I'd go with the ten dollar membership, unless it's your first sign up and you really want the shirt. The assigned member # is an idea, but in the end only creates seperation and divide. The, "Im better than you are" attitude or "I've been here longer." In the same way the two option membership made you feel no less or more important. Just a thougt, and I know how you appreciate honesty, Shawna. Hope you are having a great Thursday. It's dismal in Florida today. Lots of black clouds, lightning, strong winds and I wish the snow birds would quit clogging the streets. They seem to be unable to navigate a car in the f'n rain....LOL

I was stupid, and on the 2nd year of 'KRC' bought another 30 dollar membership.... realizing it would probably be the same t-shirt that was sent before. Then realizing, nothing was ever sent to me on the 2nd year, and that I should of just bought the $10 one b/c it's basically the same thing. I think I'm on the 3rd year now.. and just bought the $10 one.

I have been a member for
I have been a member for about 8 years. I only buy the $10 membership because I have plenty of t-shirts and I wouldn't even use any of the other stuff. I want the pre-sale and to chat with other members on the site. I have gone to probably 30 concerts in that timeframe. Most of them I have bought here on this site. I have never bought more than 2 at a time because you end up further back from the stage. There have only been a couple of times that I have not been able to get the tickets to the show that I wanted - mainly Detroit shows for pre-sale that sell out fast - you have to buy within the first few minutes. Then I have to go to Ticketmaster and pay the extra fees.
Sorry - it's supply/demand - the American way. You have to do your homework, know when the pre-sales are and then know when they go on sale to the general public. They are kind enough to send us emails with pre-sale and touring info.
Quite frankly, this is the best $10 I spend all year. Thanks to Kid Rock for keeping his membership low and his ticket prices low!
