Do People Really Think Before They Post ?

Some of this mental illness is really tough to manage. I say let those poor folks find pleasure where they can. They didn't ask to be born that way, right?

Spent a few minutes on the phone with the fan club rep at Artist Arena (basically they do everything) and she explained her job. Wow. They have a lot of ground to cover, folks to answer, and very little charged time for each account.
Good friends with a gal who ran the largest fan club in the US at the time, and she and I would meet at her offices and then, go to lunch. Wow, again. A young female songstress commanded a double US Mail tractor trailer and it was unloaded while I was there. There was a stash of stuffed animals that would fill up a room in your house just from that one double trailer haul. Thrown away.
It was a total mail driven, phone driven enterprise....computers were still a couple of years away. Every single piece of mail had to be opened and screened for the security part of the contract. Most folks were kind enough to give you a return address, lol.
Use of online forums and sites has changed the game. People write and say things online that they would never ever say to anyone's face.
Use aol browser still, and this came up on the huff and puff feature, titled "what is psychosis," lol.
Interesting read though, and think I am going to be less quick to judge. Shout out to Shirley, who always keeps an open mind.

Oh yeah I remember that dude...fuckin' relentless. People like that seem to come & go, if you stick around you learn to weed through the weirdos.

Some of these people are a little scarey. At least the one crazy girl that used to type in all capital letters and no punctuation seems to be off the site. Her posts went on and on and on........Are members ever blocked/deleted if they appear to pose a potential threat? Fan adoration is one thing, but there is a line that should not be crossed at some point. One of my older friends says things like "she is a sandwich shy at a picnic", "brick shy of a load", "lights on but no body's home". All the same thing, something is missing upstairs.

those are the types of posts/discussions that kept me from posting for so many years.. I thought everybody on here (well I think it was kraa back then) had there own language or secret code..I could not figure out what they were trying to say, and if by chance I did understand it seemed petty, or people just arguing over senseless topics..Nothing I wanted to involve myself with at that time, as I've said on here before, I'm glad I gave these posts another chance and started reading them, and eventually chimed in..although I don't think some get my sarcastic humor sometimes, or my words are not read the way I intended them to be read, (as I'm sure I do with others as well from time to time) but oh well, don't see that stopping me, only maybe trying to choose my words a bit more carefully..Have a great week everybody...
