Kid Rock made it to Orchestra Hall at the very un-rock and roll hour of 10 a.m. Thursday to rehearse with Leonard Slatkin and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for their concert Saturday night. Dennis Nulty , the DSO's principal tuba, said Rock looked fresh as a daisy and excited to be there, despite the hour. "He was really personable, down to earth as can be," Nulty said. The rocker sat in a chair playing guitar with the classical musicians, garbed in a backwards baseball cap. "It's good to meet somebody who's such a supporter of Detroit," Nulty added. "You can tell he's enjoying the time onstage."

http://aletha1978.wordpress.com/2012/05/11/update/ sorry for putting this here, but I was quoted last year by Kid Rock on the train. Why I did what I do, is for my family, here is my sister's story currently, and the doctors cannot see her until the 22 may. Prayers please, she was born free too. Thank you.

Thank you, WebCrew, for the update. Fresh as a daisy and excited to be there refreshes my soul, makes me smile, and I breathe a bit easier. I was out nourishing God’s creation, spending time with Him to balance my Libra self. I even got one of the two pesky sprinklers to work. I think it knew that, clad in my Irish colors, I meant business and was about ready to switch it out for a more dependable model, like I had the other. I felt joy knowing you are practicing tomorrow followed by the culmination of your tireless efforts tomorrow night. I recalled the joyful memory of listening to my father and his band practice before performances. Thank you for the soul reminder. I also recalled how my grandma, not religious but a fan of Elvis’ version of “How Great Thou Art,” asked me at a young age to learn it and how I’ve sung it ever since, especially at our family’s Thanksgiving talent shows. I sang to Him as I watered and I, too, was nourished and refreshed. In my quiet spacious peacefulness, I finally realized after all these years my “job” is to joyfully nourish in all ways on the path He has asked of me. I am to trust Him, which is why I believe He has humbled me so and taught me the graceful beauty and creativity of frugality. I am reminded of another song’s refrain. “Here I am, Lord. It is I, Lord. I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, where You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart.” It’s been hard on this heart of mine for I, too, have always heard screamin’ on the left and yellin’ on the right, but He showed me today that my faith, tried and true in tribulation, is what lights my path especially in my darkest moments. My waiting arms are open – for I know it and I live for you “To Know Joy.” I’m off now for my daily walking adventure and maybe a soda pop at the gas station. I will be singing and praying for you, your adventures, and your historic collaboration. Hmm…I like how that sounds. God Bless Saturday.
