    Kid Rock Cruise Q & A/Not hot?
    Diana R says (09 May '12)

I have been catching up on videos from the CTM cruise (some day I WILL be there - Bucket List) Did anyone catch it when Bob was asked if he thinks about cutting his hair? He said "yes". I know we all change as we age (my hair isn't the same style as when I was 20) but I sure hope he does't shave his head or anything extreme. How about just a shorter version of long; say at the shoulders rather than past the shoulders? I come from an era of long haired rockers (Bob Seger, Bon Jovi, Steve Perry, Peter Frampton, hell, any 80's rockers) And, then Bob said something along the lines of "I am smart enough to know that I'm not hot. But, I am alot hotter after selling 30 million records. NOT HOT? What is he thinking? Just the fact that he is modest about it makes him even HOTTER!

I couldn't hear as well (I was standing near the bar) so I got up and moved. As for the not hot part, he's full of crap. It has nothing to do with selling 30 million records. It has everything to do with his music. There's just something about that boy...

suggestion to put Kid up on the Big Screen during the Q& A if he does a next year.

I could not hear the questions - I only got parts and pieces-- the speakers were obviosly not pointed in my direction.

Loved the Batman Speedo question. Too funny; and I bet, too funny to see!

I thought the very end of the Q&A was funny too - "Is that a batman speedo?"

I was at the Q&A, but underneath him sitting at one of the tables....We couldn't hear anything, but I could see him talking. It sounded like Charlie Brown's teacher. I watched the videos on youtube last night. He did take his time and answer each question with some thought behind it.

My question was "What cover song over the years did you enjoy playing live?" and "What song of yours is your favorite to play live, in concert?" Neither question was picked....

I know what you are trying to say, RSMS...I appreciated that as well. Some ppl are uncomfortable with silences, like they have to fill the space up with words, but he did take the time to think his answers through. I think that shows confidence, and smarts.

I really appreciated the fact that when someone asked him a question, he really contemplated and took his time before he answered. You could literally see his mind going back in time. That really struck me. He was sincerely trying to answer wholeheartedly. It was as if he'd flashback to whatever memory stood out in his mind. It was really cool to witness that. I don't know if I am articulating this very well. He'd look up to his right and you could tell he was reliving a memory. I hope that makes sense to you all that weren't there.

I've seen the Q&A videos from this year too, they're pretty funny. I thought this year was better, he wasn't hammered...last year I felt bad for the dude while watching it. Hope Kid doesn't shave it all off, not every guy can pull that look off. My husbands hair is getting thinner by the day, I buzz cut his hair, he's like "just shave it all off" I'm like no way, that's just too much skin! So... he just wears a hat a lot Ha!

I know, Diana. I made a big noise when he said that!
Seriously, as you get older, who cares if you have hair or not, or a muffin top (he doesn't, I do, lol)
I'm not saying abandon your looks, but live life, and enjoy it, folks! I don't have the time, money, or energy to primp on myself all day long, and worry about what other ppl think of my looks. Of course, we should try to be the best we can be, but somehow focusing on the outside is so shallow. It gets boring after awhile, hanging out with a beautiful/handsome person with nothing to offer but the looks (at least it did for me when I was dating that hot hockey player in college--nothing against hockey players ;) )
You know what really makes him hot, is his sense of humor and the way he puts things in writing and otherwise. He is very quick-witted and just a riot. Actually, that is what I noticed about many of the Cruisers and artists on CTM3--we all had the same wicked sense of fun humor. That made it so much more enjoyable. :)
