Kid Rock's performance with the 'Detroit Symphony Orchestra' on May 12 at the 'Fox Theatre,' is ranked #1 on Michigan's "Top 5" list at MLive.com.

Here is a highlight from the article:

    1. Kid Rock and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Fox Theatre-Detroit

He loves Michigan, and he loves Detroit, so it came as no surprise that one of the Motor City's favorite sons would offer to help out the struggling Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Tickets start at $100. In a release, Kid Rock -- who put this show together with Rock Ventures founder Dan Gilbert -- said he is excited to help out: "As a musician, and of course a Detroiter, I am proud to be supporting this longstanding cultural institution," he said. "And while I know these ticket prices are more than what my fans are used to paying, I am confident that whatever happens when we put the Twisted Brown Trucker Band, a 80 piece orchestra, and "Bawitdaba" together will be well worth the price of admission." More info at OlympiaEntertainment.com.

You are ALWAYS #1 in my book. Your symphony will be a magical night and I will be there with you in spirit, smiling and glorying in the sheer poetry of your words and the peaceful easy feeling of your music. I hope and pray rehearsals are fun and smooth. I started my day to the Florence symphony in my Summerfield on Whitetail, listening to God’s symphony of a bright, clear blue morning Montana sky…joyfully tromping like a farm girl to start the pasture sprinklers so the cows can come home…hearing the water nourish, the far-away dogs bark their hellos, the multitude of birds sweetly sing, with the plane flying above giving hope to a tattered heart and letting the distant highway traffic remind me of the peacefulness of being a princess in her Swedish apartment above the attached garage waiting as patiently as possible for her Prince. Letting go of the cheap wine pain of two nights ago aided by yesterday’s stray from the normal ham and cheese to bacon and cheese omelet in honor of a dance that lifts my heart. Slugging through neglected paperwork until the dew evaporates and mowing the lawn becomes a viable afternoon option. Never understood how loving so completely can cause such physical pain…until now. But even though I don’t ever know how He does it, my hurting soul is enlivened, hopeful, and healing by His grace. I suppose it happens when u love someone.

I can't wait! My seats are actually as far back and over to the side as you can get, and I already know I won't be able to see Kid Rock at all because I am in a wheelchair and when people stand up, as they do the entire show, I won't be high enough to see, but I couldn't miss it! It'll be epic!
