thanks Webcrew. unfortunately the forums and even the profiles are not private so I'll continue to only post lighthearted jokes and such general topics (*cough* lyrics *cough*) there. but they aren't the place for exchanging personal information. Like I said, I've picked up one too may crazy stalker types through the KRC along with a few good friends. but the good friends came from the old private message function. I can check out the other KRC boards but last time I looked profiles there didn't match up to profiles here, nor did anyone actually go there (I never understood why there are two forums.) So my interaction here, unfortunately, will continue to be limited.
thanks for the info, though. I do appreciate how much work must go into managing this site.

@Lisa Hmm, just tested in IE9 and it looks like everything looks okay on the video page at this point. If you're still seeing the issue, maybe check compatibility view settings in your browser in case something is off there?

@Cindy What browser are you using to access the site? The login/user menu (which can be seen when you hover over your username) is currently being displayed in the upper right corner of the window without issue for us. We're also able to see the tour dates displayed on http://www.kidrock.com/tour. Your username needs to be unique so it's likely that someone already has the username "Cinbad" on this site. You can edit that by logging in, then editing your account information.

@Jade Thanks for the feedback, we always love to hear suggestions for site improvements and see that y'all truly value being a member of this community! Currently, forums are how members can communicate on kidrock.com and we're still workin' on restoring profile comments - no plans for PM on the site just yet.. However, on the KRC boards, you'll find that there is an option to private message other members on the forum! Just go to their profile and check out the contact options.

Hi Webcrew,
I know that this has come up before but I'd like to ask again that private messages be added to this site. After the very recent loss of a community member's home to a fire it would be so much easier for the rest of us to help her (I'm not asking for KR's help here, we're trying to help her ourselves) if we had a network that could use private messages. Thankfully there are a few people who know her in person but given that in the years I've been a KR fan I have picked up one too many crazy stalkers and a number of threats, I can't even give my email addy to them on this site. This is just a recent example. If there was a PM function we could connect with those we trust. It is very difficult to build community without such a feature.

Hi webcrew, im seeing it after i click on the videos selection at the top of the main page. Once on the video page, the featured video is seen as the elongated backdrop the goes pretty far down the page and the thumbnail videos are spread all over on top of the elongated video. Mostly on the video/music section .. but looks like its fixed now =)

@Michelle_176 Sorry to hear you had some trouble accessing your account, Michelle! It does seem to be verified as a KRC member account so you should be all set to view all KRC exclusive content on kidrock.com. You're able to navigate to your profile by hovering over your username in the upper right corner of your window and clicking View Profile. If you still have any questions regarding your KRC membership, please contact memberships@thekrc.com and they'll be able to help you out - make sure to include the name and email you used to register. Thanks!

@Lynnef Sometimes the songs are available to preview or sample before you purchase the album, so you can click on those to listen. The buy link will take you to the album on which the track is featured. Hope this helps!

Music videos are enlarged (some full screen) and placed as the back drop for the page. Some are off center as well, i have to minimize the page to watch those. Not sure if its just me.

Hello Family...I'm quite sure I will never be the same after our kick-ass cruise. I've been many places all over this world but there are no words to describle how we freed our minds and felt the music like it was being rushed through my entire body. Thanks for all your hard work....I brought KR a pretty cool huge canvas a dear friend of mine airbrushed for me...it totally rocked...gave it to one of the amazing folks with Sixthman...Hillbilly Stompin in Destin...yep that's the Redneck Rivera down here on the beautiful Gulf Coast. I didn't leave any info on the canvas as I do not expect a "personal" thank you...or whatever...just wondering if he got it...it's cool as shit!! Thanks a Million

Had an amazing time at the Fox Saturday night. It was great to spend the day bumming around Detroit and then going to the Fox. Thank you for all you do for the city. It is a great place and deserves the recognition you give it.

Hi dog & pony show,

There are two separate types of display names on kidrock.com.

  • One is your Member Name which is displayed on your profile and as the author on content you add to the site. You can edit this on your Edit Profile page.
  • The other is your Username, which you can edit on your Edit Account page. This is the display name that is currently being displayed with comments. Unfortunately, Username is more picky and cannot accept some 'illegal characters' - your '&' falls into that category of illegal characters. We were able to change your username to 'dog and pony show' for now but please feel free to go in and edit if you'd like. Again, you will not be able to include any illegal characters as they are defined on your Edit Account page.

Webcrew: There needs to be some updating to the videos on the KRC site. Our $40 KRC membership offeres "KRC Exclusive" videos, discussions, etc., but there have been the same lame 19 KRC videos up for over 1 1/2 yrs. Need some new videos. And, most are the So Hott sisters. We want videos of Bob, the band, practing, joking around, etc. Otherwise, good site, nice Tshirt, like the pre sales (although in the middle of a work day SUCKS; not everyone can sit in front of a computer for an hour+ in the middle of work trying to buy tickets.)

I have tried to buy tickets to the annual Kid Rock Cruise the past two years now, but by the time I realize they are on sale the ship is sold out. Can you tell me when the 2013 cruise tickets will be on sale so I can be prepared to purchase the tickets? Thank you!
