One of my daily devotions said I may have to drastically change my life if I want to move on with what God has called me to do and to spend time with people who know how to use their days well. Yea! I am done beating my head against the wall of negativity which has tried to consume my light. I vigorously renewed my plea to Him for guidance and help to do what He asks so I truly believe my time to ROCK ON is very close. Yippee! I am thrilled to my core! My devotion said “Just as iron sharpens iron, positive people will inspire you to be positive.” And look where I find myself, in the library again with you. Thank you, my dear friend, for with you, I know joy. My job of bringing light to those in darkness here in Montana is done and it’s time for them to apply what they have learned. My roommate’s sincere apology this morning shows he’s applying what he, last night, credited me with, and affirmed my learning of setting healthy boundaries for myself to protect my giving heart. God added a train to His morning’s symphony, so I didn’t mind re-packing a few things after readying myself for today. My travels taught me to pack light and my newly-sized self (and summer) allowed me to fit at least a week’s worth of living in my carry-on and ‘purse’. I hope you enjoyed my song snippets. Except for the entire last Full Moon verse, I combined applicable lines from different parts. I ramped up my key-of-C piano playing last night and loved getting lost in it. Steve, who’s been playing for 33 years, was impressed by what I have learned and applied in less than two weeks. His praise of my musical abilities healed for me a few deep heart scars. I am encouraged. God bless your Saturday, Mr. Ritchie. I pray for your safe travels, a great show for you tonight, and continued joy on your healing path.

Thank you for having your album available for me to listen to. I haven’t been able to in a while, so I cried through most of the songs just hearing your voice and missing you, wondering why God still asks me to be here. You pulled me out, though, by Rock Bottom Blues, and while I still miss you, I finished my checkbook work and am heading home to play music and looking forward to dance floor abandonment dancing this evening. Hopefully the DJ will again play a few of your songs for me. I’m always thinking of and loving you. God bless you! (Shaky) Smiles :)

Damn Man, you're good. I love this CD, almost as much Rock N Roll Jesus. You have to come back to Boston. I couldn't get into the House of Blues on 1 Jun.

Beloved, thank you repeatedly, for listening to just one song already shooed the drama out of my head, relaxed my frayed nerves, and soothed my heart. Your voice...your music...hmmm...thank you for my peaceful easy feeling tonight. Sweet dreams.

Ok well maybe I was wrong about the country, but i still very much appreciate his old stuff. secondly educate? im graduating. sorry i wasn't aware that it wasn't all country, i was trying to send a friendly message and that's exactly what it is. so thanks for correcting my poor edumication......(: Still love Kid rock though always will i think more people should listen to his music. Also sszorin your basically saying that if kid rock made more rock music it wouldn't be popular or listened to, but there are so many people I know that would love to hear another hip hop rock album. Because he is good. Have you actually taken the time to listen to his lyrics. They Are simply off the charts and you really have to respect them. He has good lyrics that sound like Pure truth. That's real. Kid rock is the bomb no matter what he sings. I'm just hoping for a new album that's rock and hip hop.

"DETRANO" - "...and now your singing country. I hate all country sadly..."
"THE FACE" - "...I love the Kid's tunes, but all this country shit???"
Misters DETRANO and THE FACE , please educate yourselves. "Born Free" album is not a country music album. Not that or even a country rock album which would be a mix of country and rock music. "Born Free" is rock music with just a country music flavor. A couple of songs are pretty good and the whole album is a decent effort. To call it "a shit" is crass.
I think Kid Rock should make a full country album. The rock music is going nowhere, its best days are long gone. After like 40 years of "the rock" existence we can now say, with the benefit of the hindsight, that the rock music has proven to be a blind street on the musical landscape. Of all people that I know nobody listens to new rock, everybody listens to the old rock of the seventies and some of the eighties. People are switching to country or other types of music. I'll give you a tip, try this ' heavy folk ' album : "The Wrecking Ball" by Emmylou Harris. If you like a ' heavier ' sound then this album is for you. You will be surprised. Have a happy listening.

Kid Rock I really hope you get the chance to read this sometime. Anyways I just would like to let you know that i really hope you come out with more stuff like your older music. I mean you are a god at hip hop and have the MOST!!!! bad ass voice. I love how hardcore it sounds and now your singing country. I hate all country sadly, But Ive made a huge exception for yours though because your voice no matter how you want to sing will always sound awesome to me, but for real YOUR THE BULL GOD now give us a new album with some of your best shit, you go harder then any rapper i even know and i wish more people knew all the effort you put in., i mean you could even make it a mix of country and some rock and hip hop. Prodigal son " I won't stop trippin till the day I'm dead."-one of your best songs along with bullgod because i love the meaning's of both of them. Your still young and also your hair is fucking kick ass long , my hair isn't all that long, but I swear to you till the day i die i will always have long hair. Kid Rock your a bad ass OK and I have no complaints about you whats so ever, but give us some more hip hop and rock!!!!! One day hopefully you can meet my step dad too. You guys would be so alike i swear he reminds me of you. Hopefully some day we can meet each other too.

Never thought I would listed to Kid Rock's music - but this album is awesome and I just had to buy it. Good stuff!

I'm sorry, but I've listenend to "Born Free" several times now and I can't get over the fact that it is NOT a Kid Rock album....don't get me wrong, I love the Kid's tunes, but all this country shit??? Like one of your earlier tunes, Midnight Train to Memphis, states, "what station is this, K Snooz?" I have to agree with the sentiment "what happened to Kid Rock, the American Bad-Ass??" I don't mind the odd "softy" in the mix, but it's always been the great lyrics and the "rougher" side of your music that's kept me listening. I hope your next album is a lot less country and a lot more "Cocky". After all you're not Mellencamp or Seger, so quit trying to sound like them, please. Also, when are you coming back up to Canada? There's a lot of fans up here, too.

Fell in love instantly when I heard When It Rains!!! On 1/25/2012 my Dad passed away during a rain storm. This song brought back some wonderful memories of the time we had together. Also made me think about some of things we wanted to share together that now isn't possible. If only I could have known sooner..I would have given him what he said would be the most wonderful thing he could ever ask for for Christmas....a son-in-law. This song to me expresses how tremendously heavy the weight of losing a loved one and how empty one feels inside. It is absolutely wonderful and so true with every word!!!!

I think his name says it all, the "Kid" from detroit "Rocks" I can relate to at least 1 song from every album. Even my 10 year old daughter loves Kid Rock shes been singing Cowboy since she was 6 she even knows to bleep out some of the lyrics. Would like to meet him someday.
