If you want to pretend like the first time you heard "Bawitdaba," you weren't like "oh snip snap!" then go ahead. Be my guest. You're just lying to yourself, and it's just going to fester in the pit of your stomach until you're drinking Pepto straight from the bottle on the reg. Sure, has Kid Rock made some missteps in the past? Possibly. Pam Anderson? Sheryl Crow? Both? Regardless, "Cowboy" is a classic, and Colorado Crunk patriarch Papa Skunk wants to hearken back to the good ol' days. It was the 90's, and everyone was wearing JNCO's and talking about how sweet it was that Jordan got 6, and Devil Without a Cause was about to go platinum, true to Kid Rock's lyrics. Skunk does his thing, glitching where necessary, while making sure to retain that winning attitude from the original. This is a nostalgic trip down a dusty road, an ode to a simpler time. R.I.P.
