We recently made some upgrades to kidrock.com's back end and have a few important announcements we wanted to inform you guys about.
1) You need to reset your password if you haven't already.
If you're having trouble logging in, reset password. You also should have received an email with a link to this page.
2) Full html in User Profiles as well as Comments on User Profiles has been turned off.
Currently you cannot write or receive comments on your user profile. Good news though, this part is only temporary! Your profile comments are safe, and we are working to get this functionality back in place, so thank you for your patience!
We have turned off the full html function on user profiles due to abuse from spammers and other accounts posting inappropriate photos / videos on their profiles.
3.) I can't find some of my videos?
Your videos may still be in the process of being moved to the new site. We'll have them ready shortly, and they'll have all of their comments too. You'll be able to access your videos from your profile page.
4.) Uploading fan videos
The site no longer supports uploading video files directly from your computer. You still can post your Kid Rock videos to the Fan Videos section, but you will need to make sure it's hosted on a third party website like YouTube, Vimeo, or TwitVid. Once you've uploaded your video, you can add it to KidRock.com via the Upload Video page. Just paste in the video URL and embed. Then select a title, category and description (optional) and save.
We want to keep KidRock.com live for a long time and had to make some changes to the site to keep it running smoothly. Feel free to post questions or concerns in the comments below. As always, you can always ask us anything on the Feedback thread in the Forum.

I agree Montana Anna, yea!! no spammers anymore. I'd also like to see if we're going to get back the feature where we could see our own comments on our profile page & post comments on other members profiles too. Oh Webcrew, I do have a question about membership, will I get an email when the membership is about to expire? It expires sometime this month.

Great work on the website! I really appreciate all you are doing and how responsive you are in your communication to us. I really like that people can't post spam to our profile pages. My heart skips a beat when I receive an e-mail from KidRock.com only to come crashing to Earth when it was just rubbish. I do miss having a list of my comments at the bottom of my page (for my own geekiness of remembering all I have said - which surprises me constantly). Any chance of including that feature again? Or is there already a way and my temporary absence from computer world has limited my knowledge on how to access it? I know I can search KidRock.com for my user name but it doesn't seem to come up with all of my entries. You are doing a great job and thanks especially for whatever computer magic you performed to get rid of all those selling-clothing-and-other-crap spammers. That alone is worth a Hallelujah and my deepest praise! Smiles and Rock On!

We are working on getting profile comments and ability to delete your own comments back up and running, any updates and y'all will be the first to hear about it!
@Cheryl you should be able to edit your own discussion and I do see that it allowed you to edit the title.. is it just giving you trouble with editing content in the body? Your profile was likely migrated a while ago and so the info that was in your profile at that time is what this site remembers. While we know this can be frustrating (sorry!), you are able to edit your profile and account at any time by hovering over your member name in the upper right corner of the site and clicking Edit Account or Edit Profile.

This was our cruise countdown and it changed daily. The profile picture reverted back to one I used previously before I think Christmas. Regarding emails: If you haven't added us to your trusted senders, it's possible the site announcement email got stuck in spam or junk so please check those folders. If you've already reset your password, though, you will not have to use the one-time login link provided in that email.

@Kidrockangel Hmm, is it a shared computer or network? We tested Facebook login and weren't able to reproduce the issue. Make sure you're logged into your own Facebook account before trying to use it to log into the site. Or just refer to the email for your one-time login link. Sorry about that! Glad to see you on the new site, despite the sudden name change ;)
@Margo C Working on restoring your ability to delete your own comments, in the meantime feel free to let us know which comments you'd like removed and we'll take care of it for you. We're still working on getting ALL of the content over to the new site - Videos in particular might take a little time. We'll do our very best to keep you updated on that progress.
