There's no reason to work for the man in this wonderful country of ours. Just met with my husbands , now my business partner to go over the details of the new company . He and my spouse ave been working on patents for sometime and he's has quite a few and other ventures and seeing how he has some free time now we decided upon our venture of passive income bringing in about 15 g a day to start. I'm gonna be busy doing the marketing portion since I have all the contacts until it gets going and off the ground and then well, fishing, writing a few songs.

A friend wouldn't post something as tragic as his grandparents dying. That is very personal and very distasteful. A friend wouldn't say where's my money, cars, etc. A friend would say hi, how are you, missed you, hope you are doing well, love you, can't wait to hear from you. Thats what friends do. Ie.. Lessons on friendship. My take...... Not a friend but take out the r in friend and you are a fiend. I'd kick your ass just for the poor me crap. Get a life! Bobs life is not yours, nor is his song. All things added up, from the psychology I studied, your a piece of crap that I doubt anyone calls friend and this is coming from a Christian, loving, kind person, who does not usually say those kind of things which makes me think all these people are not wrong and you sir, are just not right. Whether you helped or not, you just lost both your former friend and your mind.

This thread cracks me up, so i will respond to it. Phil and i will quote " DID NOT WRITE BORN FREE". Whether BOB ever rights the situation of who did contribute to it is up to BOB and BOB alone...He has to look in the mirror and live with himself. I know he can't ever repeat the style, content, or substance that is Born Free solo. He doesn't have the map.That cd was a map basically for a driver of someones feelings, life, years of writing experience, and everything they had been going through @ that time. IMO knowing what i know "When It Rains" is one of the most personal to them, and it is about loss of someone you loved deeply to substance abuse. But that song has touched so many ppl that there is no doubt it should have went out and been made and BOB was the right artist to do it. I still feel it is DAMN shame that most ppl will never hear "The Midwest Fall". First time i heard it accompanied with music i wanted to cry it was so good and beautiful. That one was done right is all i can say. Hell all of Born Free was done right, the feel of the writer that is.
SO this topic is bullshit is all i can say. BOB knows the truths of all this. I really wish he would speak out on it @ some point. I know he has talked about it a few times in interviews one that accompanied the deluxe version of the cd which i owned. He and Rubin eluded to something and almost gave it away. I wouldn't take it that personally, but I know it hurts. If you and he met up with a third person who could introduce the two of you and help match up the memories, I'd bet it would bring it back for him.

Phil, I wouldbimagine that Kid has a very busy life. In fact, I think anyone could confirm this looking at tour schedule. I can relate to your story because when I was going through 4 years of school I had a friend that helped me and watched my children for quite a while and I promised her when I started making the big money that I would always remember her and get her something nice. Well it took about five years from then before I started really making that kind of money with being new to that field and by the time I went to see her she had moved on and I couldn't find her. She was a doll and I still owe her but who knows where she is at and due to my busy career, I really haven't had a chance to look for her. But life is a circle and eventually I will see her around and when I do I plan on making it up to her and letting her know just how much the things she did for me, meant to me and how important a role she played in mine and my children's lives. I'm sure he hasn't forgot you. He's just tied up in knots in the circle we call life and just as the world is circle, he will come back around eventually. And if the money didn't matter then why do you keep mentioning a house and car? 2+2=4! $$$$$. forget the tangible things and focus on the relationship which should be the most valuable thing to you. I'm sure he's never forgotten you being there for him when his grandparents passed so give him a break. Hell if I were him , you would have scared me off. I'd be talking to my attorneys to protect myself and wouldn't have anything to do with you do to the fact that you did keep mentioning the tangibles. I'd be afraid of being sued or other things because it sounds to me as if there are just a few hard feelings. guess i should explain his grangparents thing . when i met bob he had a black eye , he said was from his dad, he was running away ( chasing after his girlfriend that had moved away to mphis or little rock dont remember but he said he want to see the country and be a singer or song writer he didnt care which just as long as it got him girls anyway my wife and i talked him out of it and got him to go home , it was about 3 1/2 months later that his grandparents were killed in the car wreck and they meant the world to him !! he called me all tore up but thanked me for talking him in to going back home he said otherwise he would have not had that time with them . he said he owed me , told him no he didnt but he was persistant an made me tell him something so i said when u make it big buy me a house to go with the newcar we agreed on for the use of the lyrics we made up and the stuff we talked about on the phone he made me promise to write those things in the release agreement i signed he even argued about how much the home should cost i didn't want enough we finally agreed on a # . like i said i'm not the sue you type if he wanted me to have it so be it i just asked he didn't forget me as a friend and he did that hurts!!!
