It's the news we have been waiting for...According to the AP Wire, Kid will perform May 12 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. He hopes to raise ONE MILLION dollars to benefit the Detroit Symphony orchestra. Tickets go on sale Saturday. I'm sure details will follow via the home section of this website.

RSMS, I won't mention it to my hubby until I get tix...That's what I do for every show, and did for the Cruise as well...I think it was 2 weeks before I mentioned I booked the Cruise! He was freaked at first, but now is stoked, thank goodness ; p
Okay there is no way i can go to any of this but i am gonna stand up and say some shit to "KID" for his DETROIT fans new and old. KID add a second night and make the tickets more affordable for peeps....Times is tight, most of us gotta make a dollar holler...if ya know what i mean. AND this coming from a chick that paid for not 1, but 2 shows on the Born Free and went to the fall short term tour that you are finishing up in DETROIT.
The not so funny part is one show i got to hear 2 songs from Jamie Johnson and spent the rest of the night and 24 hours in Vanderburgh County jail in Evansville, IN. I didn't get bailed i got the shit treatment....I guess after i went off a bit because i was drunk and pissed didn't help matters though...Course that was already after i was arrested mind you, not before. Tried to talk my way out of pre-arrest....If you have heard the phrase kicking, screaming and throwing a fit that was me...I would probably do it again to if i got "fucked" out of a Kid Rock show by the man....Maybe Kid will bail me next time...LOL!!!

"If" we go I'm probably going for the "cheap" $100 tickets....Still a pretty small venue at only 5,000 seats and with the orchestra - definitely something special. I think we are going to try our luck and see what happens - if tickets are available, then I will go for it - if not, more money for the summer show. I'm sure I will kick myself if we don't at least try for tickets.

This show is gonna be off the chain.... makes me think back to when GnR did November Rain with having an orchestra back them... now thinking what Bawitdaba would sound like... gonna be Epic. Crazy prices tho'... Good luck to all you cool Michigan peeps who deserve this. Hope all yall get a fair chance at a seat... sure wish I could be a fly on the wall for this one.

Maybe do the $100 cheap seats there, that doesn't sound right coming out lol....then do VIP at PK if he does a concert...sigh...
I called the DSO-VIP are $750 per person.
Im scared to find out what that VIP package will cost...I have to see this live...its a must...I belive I'll go for the most affordable seat so I can make this possable even if I have to stand outside with my ear against the wall.
I know JB it is very tempting....my dilemma, if I go to this & he does a summer concert too, I really can't afford both. I want to see him at a small venue like The Fox, but I love Pine Knob in the summer. Then if he doesn't do Pine Knob then I miss out seeing a KR concert all together...dang, I don't know what to do :(
Yep, I'm thinking the same thing, Margo. I'll have to decide by Saturday. But, this could be a phenomenal, once in a life time thing... soooo, I just don't know.

He did say on the WRIF today that if this one sells out they might a 2nd show so that he can raise money for his other charities around Detroit. Waiting and waiting for months, to have tickets $100 a pop wasn't what I was expecting!
Yeah I'm not sure if I'm gonna try to go...decent seats are gonna be top dollar, it would suck paying 100+ bucks for shitty seats...I know it's going for a good cause, but I think I'm gonna hold out hope for a Pine Knob summer concert? I got till Sat. to decide....

It seats 5,000 seats, so that will be at least $200/ticket to raise $1 million.

Pre-sale will go just as fast as Ticketmaster! This will be a very hard ticket.
