I don't usually post stuff like this here, but I thought that this was interesting. some journalist in Oregon talks about KR & Chris Brown's responses to their critics in recent events. An interesting comparison on how they both went on defense mode but in different ways:
http://www.oregonlive.com/music/index.ssf/2012/02/kid_rock_chris_brown_and_how_t.html
the last part says, "Susan Tompor wrote the column, and so in his response, Kid Rock wrote, "Let me first start off by cordially inviting you to (bleeeeeeeeeeeeeep). I have always said that I do care what people in my hometown think of me, and the hatchet job you have just written about The Made In Detroit company in The Detroit Free Press has made me so upset that I am left with no choice but to defend myself and my company."
He does, too. He does in detail, and quite smartly. Read it all. He also canceled his subscription. But the points he raises -- in response to points made by Tompor -- are actually a window into the issue of American manufacturing and jobs long lost. It's a good debate. Chris Brown is just kind of a (beeeeeep)."
NIce to see someone getting KR's thoughtful & articulate response (beyond the "go fuck yourself" bit), and how he neatly brings up a serious issue that is getting buried under the whole thing. and the fact that Chris Brown is a jackass.
Chris Brown merits no comments, idiot!
Well said. Agreed!
It's nice to see a journalist actually "get" it.
