Caught it - it was awesome! I thought it was really sweet how Kid Rock tried to step back a bit so Yelawolf would get the spot light when Dave stepped on stage w/ them. :)
the fact that eminem is behind this dood also upsets me...both of these quality artists should know right away this emcee is off (he may have flow, but hes OFF and not saying anything cool at all...there are a bunch of rappers they could have invested in from the midwest that arent garbage with decent flows)....damn...I gave up on eminem not too long ago and even though Im not a fan of the country/southern rock shit Kid has been up to lately I've respected it...this I do not. Oh well, there's still a couple rappers i respect I suppose.....

He was more off beat live than he was on the real track (he was off beat there too..kind of question whether wolf guy just said i have some verses instead of actually writing it like a song, because he is OFF BEAT, if it's intentional...it just sounds like a waste of a dope beat and a great hook with some off ass verses that arent saying much ), he def. wasn't synching. i will say Yelawolf is one of the reasons I stopped listening to rap and I am disappointed kid is backing this dood, Kid is better than this...

I watched again tonight and I take some of that back.. still say he's def not synching.. no way no how.. but as far as I said about singing over a track.. nnnnaw.. thinking more so that they got an effect going thru the mic (perhaps a lil compression.. distortion maybe.. perhaps a lil echo).. yup yup, that's my guess and I'm sticking to it ; )
LOVED KR coat....He looked great, not to sure about Yealwolf but okay I see what KR is doing to help support the younger generation paying it forward. He has a huge heart!
Live vs recorded is a real struggle for me, unless they really mess up. Think I'm just used to it because it's so standard, all the TV performances we watch are sync'd, and for me, that dates back to Dick Clark in the sixties.
Remember listening to a recording of Mellencamp writing one of his albums. Whew, was I grateful for Larry Crane and the bands' final input on that one. Totally different.

I thought they sounded great together. IDK, pretty much love all of Bob's music. I know some aren't keen on Born Free but I love it all. I'm just along for the ride...
I listened to it again last night. I agree - I think a little boost from a background track and singing over the top.
It will be interesting to see the "old" crowd react to Yelawolf on the boat....Not his normal crowd, but I'm sure we'll be supportive. I know he'll be on my list to go see.
Not sure about the lip sync/live thing, but, boy did this performance get noticed and talked about in the media...my news alert email was chock full of positive responses from folks all over the country.

@Bart.. naw.. no way that was lip-syncing... imo It's possible he was singing with a light track to dub his voice.. but to me it was harder to hear Kid's voice on the recorded track then the live version last night.

Well I think They all looked Freash, Clean and Sober...I think the words go, Roll On, Anit Got Alot But Im Gonna Show it off In a Reconized Game , Lets Roll O 'oooo Roll O'o on on...it was short and sweet....YEALOWOLF, that's all you need to know.....
