Just curious if anyone could help me answer a question? I am going to a sleeptrain ampitheatre to see Bobby and was thinking about buying premium RV parking. My question is, will they let us spend the night or kick us out. I really don't want to have to be sober for this event and thought my little camp trailer may do the trick. I have looked online and can't find the answer. If anyone knows I would love to hear from you.
Can't wait for the show!
Laura
oh, and things for the well wishes... I'll nap a lot of the weekend and be find. its just a cold, but its irritating! :-)
welcome to my world ladies! lol there is a lot of the older music I can't quite make out. maybe I should just go to a strip joint and ask a stripper... "what does it mean for a woman to tell a man, "them pole-tease they got style'? does that make any sense?" Maybe I could figure it out that way. do you think a strip club here would work or would it be some special Detroit stripper slang? anyone up there in Detroit want to go on a strip club tour and ask around for me?
JustBecause I was thinking the same thing, I could totally see this on History of Rock. I'm listening to this song on some pretty decent earbuds & I still can't make some of it out.
Margo, you crack me up...stripper language lol
Hey Jade, This song is great. I could have seen it on "History of Rock" CD. Something about the tempo and lyrics. Anyway, can't help you out with the wording. My speakers are crap.
Feel better :) Colds suck!
Sorry to hear your sick Jade :( I checked out that Youtube video link, I love this song btw...it doesn't sound like (posse) at all, I hear (pole tease) I got no experience in stripper language;) so who knows...
ok, I'm home sick with a cold... which sucks. but on the upside, I suddenly have more time to listen to rare KR tracks and try and figure out the lyrics! lol
Margo, I think you're right about "Gangster lean"... it makes sense and I can hear it.
the pole-tease/pole-ease/posse thing... I just don't know. "posse" would make the most sense, but honestly? in every version I hear "pole-tease" more than anything. is that a stripper reference?
[I wish I knew who was singing that woman's part... she's got an awesome voice. sounds hot. lol]
there is one other version of this song, a later one that came out on the Osmosis Jones soundtrack, with Joe C. the music is different but a lot of the lyrics are the same. some things are a little more clear, some not so much... but its fun so worth checking out.

I'm thinkin' it ain't (posey) it's (posse) that would make more sense. I don't know...I gotta get get off this website & get some shit done today!! LOL
I checked out this website that had the lyrics to this song http://lyrics-keeper.com/en/kid-rock/cool-daddy-cool.html The "pole tease/lease got style" instead it says "them posey's got style" I have no idea what the hell that means either lol, but thought you might like to check it out. Thanks Jade for sharing these old songs, I love them!
I went back and forth with someone else about the "pole Tease" thing... It sounds like that to me but I have no idea what that means. "pol ease" is a slang term for police, but that still doesn't make a lot of sense. when I get a chance I'll listen to it on some different speakers and see if I can hear it more clearly. and I always look for other copies of these songs, some are more clear than others.
I'll check out the gangster line, you might be right with that one! thanks for checking it Margo! I hugely appreciate when others help me out but double checking me. :-)
Hey Jade, I was listening to this again & reading the lyrics I believe it's "gangster lean" not "gangster lane". I can't hear the chick in the middle very well, kinda sounds like pole tease? And I can't hear the song that plays at the end very good, sorry.
omg I love it!! Daddy who? lol This song makes me smile :))
Great stuff Jade/ Thanks for all your hard work..
I've decided I love this song. lol
but I added a second video on YouTube, its a different copy that doesn't have the skips and jumps in it like the first one did:
