We are headed to the airport. we had a great time meeting everyone. Funny that we went to Vegas to meet Rocksavedmysoul when she lives 15 min away from me! Thanks for the info on airport conditions in Detroit. Hopefully it's better tonite/tomorrow morning. Can't wait for the Machine Shop outing then the big outing in April! Met Aaron Julison - bass guitarist this morning in the hotel lobby. Got my pic with him & told him I'd see him on the boat. Great show last nite

Wonder if they ever thought of studding airplane tires---lol----like snowmobiles---traction was not an issue---and neither was an 8 second quarter mile across the lakes------the only issue was buckled-up ice at 80plus miles an hour---FREESTYLE!!!!!!!!! ~Lol :-)

Howdy everyone.
The landing was a bit crazy. We got stuck for over 2 hours. The runway was icy and it took three attempts by two different tugs to get us back on the runway. Salt didn't work (they couldn't get traction) so they ended up using sand. Looks like at least two other planes had emergency issues. One was stuck on an icy ramp, and I don't know what was wrong with the other but emergency vehicles all over the place at the airport. I am dead dog tired so here is a brief synopsis...
Met Tammyray and Ted, and Ktweedy and hubby at Crossroads before the concert. Great people! Had a drink with them and then headed to the show. Was first in line. Amazing show. Bluesy and rock and roll. Loved it all. Ran into Traci and Amber who I met at the Raleigh show back in August. Met some others-Trina and hubby, Michelle and family, Denise and Jan (from Wisconsin). We all were in the front row standing. House of Blues was packed. Both shows sold out. Kid wore his white track suit with the rhinestone eagle buckle. He did Tom Sawyer (Forever) and Queen (Fat Bottom Girls) and a song I wasn't familiar with. Anyone who went, what was that? A new song? I don't have the set list, perhaps James or Tammyray can fill it all in. Lots of beer flowing. Nice crowd but the floor was a puddle of beer by the time it was over.
After the concert, we headed back to the Venetian, freshened up, and then went to their nightclub called TAO. I saw a ringlet of smoke from the top section of the club, in the back, and knew exactly where that was coming from. Kid, cigar ablazed, showed up in his white track suit and was surrounded by his people. We were by the dance floor so stayed awhile and then called it a night. The place was absolutely packed. It had three different levels and was just wall to wall people.
Got 2 hours of sleep and now am home and back to reality. So glad I went. It was my first time in Vegas.
Just got home from work. RSMS had a bad landing at Metro. Runway was icy and the plane slid off and was stuck. I am so glad she made it safely. Hope the great time she had in Vegas made up for the scary landing.

Things got a little out of hand last night. Concert was amazing. Wendy was dancing around like a mad teen. I hit a Royal Flush on $2 VIdeo Poker for $8,000 which broke us even on our trip for everything except for Tao. After show we danced our asses off at some bar right outside house of blues. Got that party started for sure. Even Edward got out on the floor. Wendy and Judi passed out so Edward and I went to Rhino. Got em to play some Kid for us. By the end of the night we pissed though all $8000 plus some. LOL. Had to cancel after hours party at Tao. LOL. Suck. Don't think I could make it through Tao after the show tonight anyway I'm whipped. Not as young as I used to be. Rollin over in the Nav in about 15 mins and thank God we predpaid for VIP Table at the show tonight. Great trip so far none the less and best part is my wife of 23 years and I are really connecting again. Well worth the abuse. LOL> Party!!!! Fun meeting everyone at eye candy.
