Ok!!! Time to get busy!!! I was pretty lazy last week. Did a couple workouts...Today kept it light with some ab work and cardio...Then off to the tanning bed! Bought a 1 month unlimited visits...I'm tellin ya, after a few minutes under the lights, I felt Great!!!!

Actually, I just started taking it only a month ago...
Val, I started taking a thermogenic a couple of months ago. I went to GNC and got Oxy Elite. It's a white bottle with purple writing. It burns more calories when you exercise, gives you energy and works especially well on the belly area. I'm not one to take stuff like that, but I've seen some positive results. I take one in the am and one after lunch....You may want to research different thermogenics, but this is the one the salesperson recommended.
Also, good old fashioned calorie cutting, especially CARBS! I hate to give up the carbs, but it really does make a difference...In conjuction with the thermogenic and exercise, you should have some success...
I have heard (not tried yet--lol :-) that Prep H works wonders on the ab area-----and Witch Hazel rubbed on and immediately wrapped in Saran Wrap around there----is supposed to work too----

Lisa, do you have any other suggestions for belly/ab area? Want to tighten it up. Definition is too much to ask for at this late date, but if you have any tricks just to make the area look flatter, I'd be happy.
Did a leg workout today...First time doing weights in a couple weeks. After being sick, last Friday I was gonna do the weights, when lo and behold, my two doggies get into a scuffle, and trying to break them up, got my finger sliced in the process...should have gotten stitches, but instead I just tried to keep it from bleeding for 2 days....Uggh...Well, it stopped bleeding, thanks to liquid band aid, I can now hold the dumbbells again...CHILLIN THE MOST! TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!!

Five more pounds yelp and I really havent walked much this week,. did few cruches and arm weights,.I beliveve my diet change influnced the majority off the loss. My goal is 150,. fifteen more pounds,..its all in my belly.
I made my cabbage/tomato soup bake for dinner.
Tomorrow it's suppose to be in the 50s. Gonna power walk OUTSIDE!

See, I was thinking a good Lenten meal would be mac and cheese. lol We used to eat it every Friday during Lent when I was a kid. Now I'm gonna opt for fish, much healthier.
I like cut cabbage just baked in the oven with light tomato soup---yummy.

I just thought also, that the Cabbage Soup could be a good Lenten meal if you substituted veggie broth for the beef/chicken broth...

When I did the soup thing I only ate it for dinner. Cabbage is not my favorite. I ate very small healthy meals for breakfast and lunch and then ate 2 bowls of soup for dinner. No snacking at night. Nothing but water after 6pm. No alcohol either! That's just me, if I liked cabbage I would have had it for lunch too but definitely not breakfast. I only did it for 3 days. Good luck ladies :)
I was thinking the same thing Margo, except on the liquid side, can I have my morning coffee? A diet 7-up or an evening cock(rock)tail? My mom and I were discussing the soup recipe yesterday when she came over for a visit and we might try using purple cabbage along with the green..
feel better Lisa, I gotta say with all that's been going on I have not been exercising as much as I should be . Treadmill has collected dust once again.. Still been watching the calorie intake, doing squats and sit ups here and there, but to date like my friend msb, have not lost a fricken pound..
