I'm on board again. Been busy with ailing parents. I swear, I need more hours in the day! My husband has been using my total gym (in addition to his universal machine) to do chin ups and is looking really good. I better get my butt moving. It's just so hard trying to do everything you have to do in a day and then find time for yourself. I know you ladies totally get that. But, we just HAVE to make time for us.

It sounds like we are getting our 2nd wind, gals! Yay! We can do this. Even if we see a little improvement, that's better than before, right?
I'm hitting the weights, doing squats and situps. I think that will give me some results. It should hit some of my problem areas. Trying to stick with protein.

Muchlove - hang in there & don't let anyone keep you from movin your body to get healthy!! I just started doing Zumba & I felt kinda silly cuz I don't know the moves, but I'm pickin it up & I'm having fun. Keep up the good work :-)

Hey there !! I'm joining in... I'm in need to lose a lot of weight.. but losing a lil before the cruise will make me happy too : ) Started on Sunday.. other then one lil set back this week.. it's been really good.. and I've kept on track for the most part. Hope everyone's week was great : )

I need help, someone point me in the right direction, even bought an xbox360 for christmas so i could do the dance games but of course everyone else in the house laughs at me and makes me feel like an idiot, of course there all in the early 20s so who the hell cares mt hey all eat every minute of the day and never gain a pound!!!!! lolol

Okay, Debbie Downer here...To do one without the other doesn't work so well. I keep telling my hubby that...He still thinks he's 25 and can eat and drink whatever he wants....He'll be 50 soon....At least at this point he's eating better, thanks to me...

great positive attitude shirl, and you're right it's more about the lifestyle for life, I usually do eat pretty healthy it's the damn exercising that gets me down, and that I struggle with..

For the most part Ive stuck to my plan and plan on it being a part of my lifestyle for life. Im not going to be too hard on my self becaues at least Im making a reagular effort to walk and eat healther.

I'm still here...I was getting lonely...I've been doing well...I tell ya, when I have a goal that's the only time I can kick ass...My daughter challenged me to acquire a six pack(abs, not beer) she's 15, by April. Crazy me took on that challenge. I'll be ecstatic if I can get a 4 pack...Started using the good, old fashioned wheel with little handles on the side. OMG! My core is sore every day! It's gonna be a long 3 months, but it's plenty of time for anyone to make some changes. MsBehavin, I heard the wagon is coming back around-jump on it! Stay positive ladies!!!!!

Tammy, I'm with ya! I've been a slacker! Now I am down to 21 days b/4 I go to Mexico..my primer for the cruise. I'm really mad at myself, but we just have to make tomorrow a new day and start again.
For some reason, I am in charge of 10 different projects..busy thru June..I won't know what to do with myself after that! Hang in there :)

found this way over on the 4th page, did we all fall off the exercise wagon, or just me?? damn 49er playoffs.. (jk, go niners!!)been skipping the treadmill here and there and didn't stick to my healthy meals..didn't eat horribly horribly bad but it could of been better..was doing great with the alcohol intake until last Saturday, blew that all to hell..I can seem to commit to anything i put my mind to except this exercise/loosing weight thing..Very frustrating..Hope everyone else is doing good..

That is worth a try. It's been almost 3 months I've had this and just when I think it's getting better I re- injure it. Thanks Lisa! I hope it works that quick for me :)

Hey JB, I had plantar fascitis as well, went to the doc and she told me to go to the sports store and get an insert for my shoes, as I have high arches...I could barely walk, and once I put in the insoles, it went away pretty much immediately....It's been about 2 years, no problem since!

I feel so guilty that I haven't been exercising on a regular basis--unless you count Sexercise--yeah baby!! It's F*** Me Friday Whoo HOOO!
Mrs.Cedars and Lisa, great advice. I can do the weights. Protein works. I just get so darned bored with the elliptical.
And JB, no worries. I regularly throw back a bottle of vino by myself (not that I'm proud of it, but it can be done :0 ). Now I know who to room with in the future LOLOL

Thanks Mrs.Cedar :) Me too! Feel like I've been dieting since I was 12. I was doing the treadmill and kettle bell over the summer till I messed up my foot. Wish there was a podiatrist on this site. Could use free advise LOL. I have plantar fasciitis. Makes walking painful. We just brought the bike in from the garage so, I just have to get motivated. It's so hard. I will take your advice and shoot for 30 min. of each cardio/weights. I do pretty good with my diet (except wine lol). And I know my triggers...mac n cheese and pizza. Once I start with those there's no turning back!

MrsCedar, you go sista! I agree, you must build muscle. There is no better fat burner than building muscle with weights. I do free weights, and only a little cardio. And remember, muscle weighs more than fat, so the scale isn't always accurate. The only time I step on the scale is at the doctor's office, and even then I cover my eyes! Living and eating healthy just becomes a way of life after awhile, and smart choices come more naturally. I wanted to take the day off today, so I did a moderate 30 minute walk on the treadmill just to wake up and not feel guilty. I've come to realize that I just don't feel right unless I do something...It helps to have a goal too, and to feel like you are held accountable...And sleep...Ahhh, sweet sleep! I also need at least 8 hours, but can easily sleep 10 night after night...Have a good weekend all. I am off to my 15 year old daughter's volleyball tourney for the weekend...

JB: In June I started messing around with weights..cut back on calories...but damnit if I wanted ice cream, I had it...just less.. I had absolutely ZERO muscle tone... I did the weights EVERYDAY.. By September I had lost 30 lbs.. around the end of September I added the Treadmill... I do the treadmill for 30 mins, and weights for 30 mins about 5 days a week.. I really do believe building some muscle, has made all the difference this time.. When I stepped on that treadmill for the first time in 10 yrs, I felt stronger...
You could try some type of cleanse... those do a good job of jumpstarting your metabolism...
Honestly, I have tried SOOO MANY diets and crap that just doesn't work.... or atleast it hasn't for me..
Less calories, more protein, 30 mins cardio, 30 minutes or weights...everyday if you can...or start at everyother day... I decided that if I don't take that time for myself now...I never will.... I feel better now, than I did when I was 30... I also get a good 9 hrs of sleep most nights.. That prob helps too :)

OK, let me clarify...I shared a bottle with my husband. Not that I haven't or can't drink a bottle by myself. After all it was a Tuesday night! I think that too, MsB! LOL
Cedars, What are you doing to lose the weight? Read somewhere you dropped 50!!! I'm at a plateau. UGH! Looking for a way to break through!!!

Back on topic--lol---this morning--i got up---put on my tennis shoes fast walked a mile--then came in and did the Total Gym and some free weights for the problem spots---boobs--butt--and lower back---lol
I plan to do that shit everyday until i look and feel better :-)
It really makes a difference in the energy level---and will (hopefully :-) off-set the Natural Lights i like to drink at night---lol--

You gotta have some fun Just Because. For me, it's the beer. I do, however drink Michelob Ultra, so it's not terribly fattening. I will forego food calories just so I can have a few...As we get closer to April, I will cut out the beer until I get to Miami...

I did a leg, ab, and cardio workout today...7 days in a row...I ate a measly sandwich, took a shower, and passed out on my couch for an hour...: ) It's all good...

had a great 40 minute incline workout on the treadmill followed by weights, sit-ups and squats today...how is everyone else doing??
