Where I grew up, there were no rich people. No bankers, no rightwing titans ranting the poor were lazy and the government was taking all their hard-earned money. Some dads worked for the electric company, others sold insurance or held blue-collar jobs.
I currently live in one of the poorest cities in the US. I'm not well educated, don't own a home, and I usually have to call the cops once a week at my job for some kind of disturbance... 'scared outta my mind sometimes'. I've been a fan since 1998 and I would never call Kid Rock a pig due to our differences in political views. I'm actually happy that someone chose Kid's song to play.. doesn't mean I'm gonna vote for them, but yea.. sorry you feel strongly this way that it would ruin your weekend party plans. That's just insane to me...lol

Oh I get it. So Kid Rock creates a song that attracts a man that's running for office. He allows that man "and all others" to use that song (close to his words). How do you figure you're making any sense? Should he have said no? Think @G! Think! Kid Rock is many things. Among them is the fact that Kid Rock is a business, a production, a work-of-art in progress! Bob Ritchie's personal views probably do not get meshed in too much with the production. See the difference? Bob Ritchie's the person verses Kid Rock the production. I think he does a fine job balancing the two. Perhaps, you'll take another look at a different time @G.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the intolerance that I've seen the last couple days over this from people has just really surprised me. These people that are basically boycotting KR, do they act that way with every part their life...how do you function in the world if everyone has to have the same political views as yourself...you couldn't possibly be able to, so why do that with KR. I'm a fan of his music period, he doesn't need to have the same political views as me for me to be a fan. With all these people that are no longer gonna be fans, maybe it'll be easier to get tickets to his concerts!
