I overheard a waitress talking...rocksavedmysoul says (28 Nov '11)
today. She was talking to a man who was sitting at a counter, waiting for his meal. She said, "Life is good. I can't complain. I have a job, kids, and a house. I see those people on tv living in tents and I have no reason to complain." Her words were simple, but powerful. She's right. What does this have to do with Kid, you ask? I really don't know. I just felt like I had to post this. She is a wise woman. I walked out of the restaurant with my carry-out order and felt grateful, too. So, to try and tie this to a kid discussion, I guess I'll try to do more for those in need this holiday season (to show I "CARE") since I too, am blessed, like the waitress. It's the least that I can do...

Giving to the elderly is nice and of course kids too . There are so many ways to give We've done both...this year I'm gonna volunteer. We own a business and things are tight right now for us but I can still do my part as I should!
oh btw speaking of hysterical I am finding myself posting here on this thread about doing good for others and caring and then posting on the Porno thread--

My family will be visiting and bringing gifts to an in home Senior Care Facility in our area..
imo Your never too old to receive gifts, and most of those that live in this home do not have family that visits, so I thought we'd take some time and "CARE" about the elderly...

to show I care--there's a guy i work with who is having trouble making ends meet so a few of the people i work with along with myself are planning to buy christmas gifts for his kids!!! I got the list from him and we have already started The least that I can do is care.........

After I posted this, I had to drive my daughter to a friend's house. On the way, an older guy with a long white beard driving a pickup truck cut me off and flipped me the bird. There went my "warm and cozy, goodwill toward man" mood. I flipped him back (I know, I shouldn't have). My teenaged daughter sarcastically told all her friends I flipped off "Santa Claus." I gotta start writing this stuff down in a book somewhere...
Anyway, will still try to do what I can for others this holiday season, and won't let scrooges bring me down!

Thank you RSMS for sharing ~ It Really warms my heart, all the warmth that you all brnig up and out . This is touching. Rev Run says, "It's not what you have, it's what you do with it." so I'm working all this together and wrapping my Heart around it :) Like, knitting:) anyway, I'll be giving items to the local Abuse shelter. (Children's books, games, & art supplies) Thank God for our Friendships & His Inspiration.
