Yeah, hate is such a strong word... sorry about that. Should have said disliked.
I did probably say my wife "hates" Kid Rock, but really it's just not her kind of music. She even said today that it would have been fun to go, it being a special show. I don't think I could live with a person who actually hated Kid Rock.
yeah. that was us. it was good to meet you & put a face with a name. we had a blast. my wife said she thinks she hit you in the head when were waving our arms. she said she is sorry.
rbspearman - yea that was me. I think I joked with your wife about all of us taking off our shoes so she could stand on them and see.
I want to hear all about it! Song list, etc. PLEASE let me know more! Thanks.
hey memphischris... we were 3 back center stage from sc. think we may have talked. are you the guy who said your wife hates kid rock ?
Looking forward to Rob's review, he's definitely a Kid Rock fanatic like me. I'll throw out my thoughts:
There was only 150-200 people there. I met people from Detroit, Atlanta, South Carolina, Mississippi, Knoxville, Nashville, other Memphis folks....ended up 3rd person from centerstage. 16 songs, full band. 1 1/2 hour show. Un-f'ing-believable! Rocked to a small crowd like they were rocking to 20,000 people. Did a PG-13 version of F'ing 40 (for tv taping) with an on-purpose slip of a word or two. I've seen Kid Rock 4-5 times, including from 4th and 2nd row, and this was by far the best.
Chris it was nice to meet you also. Thanks for your suggestions on eateries in Memphis. I think we are going to stop in to Huey's today and give it a try. We hit up Beale Street last night and caught two bands and a few drinks after the show. It was a lot of fun.
You know, "Midnight Train to Memphis" should have been played.
about an hour & a half. no one opened for him.
How long was the show last night?
Good to meet you Rob, Chris from next in line.
