Dark Thirty
There’s a faceless girl
In a nameless City
Ready to take on the world
Oh she’s so damn pretty
Bright eyes and long curls
Never been down and dirty
Aint never seen the things
That happen at dark thirty
The bad bad things that happen
At dark thirty
There’s some kind of people
That change right after dark
Take advantage of a young girl
With a certain kind of spark
Might wind up in the dirt
Down in Central Park
For whatever its worth
Happens at dark thirty
Bad bad things happen
At dark thirty
There’s a faceless kid
In a nameless town
He plans to make it big
He plans to bring it down
Hope all your family dinners
Hope all your family dinners were excellent and worth all the work.
Got a little more of my
Got a little more of my cleaning done today. Washed all my bed clothes & everything else that needed washing. The only thing left is dusting. I will do that next week after i am done with 2 major tests i have left because i have to dust before i can re-arrange everything in living room. I scored one of those 46" Samsung Smart TV's (1080 dpi, 120 refresh) & a book stand to put all my stuff on that has my printer and stuff as that corner will be cleaned out & the desk and office chair is gonna get sold as soon as i can make a flier for it to put up @ work. $40 for a desk that was over a $100 & a chair that i paid around a $150 is a steal. I think the desk has one spot under one of the lips where i burned a candle to close to it once.
IT is pretty cool. My first flat screen and internet TV. I suspect a lot of viewing will begin in my future after i take my state boards! Can't wait to see the Superbowl on a quality tv instead of my old analog 27" i been making due with for far too long! I am guessing learning how to use it won't be bad. May have to ask the electronics savvy peeps here how to do things down the line! Can't wait til school is done and i can subscribe to Netflix and catch up on everything i have had to surpass this year....
Enjoy the day everyone! For

yeah, this post is from last year-
We know Bob will be rocking out Ford Field tomorrow. My life is the same, one year later. Did the same cleaning last night, am prepping and baking today, and tomorrow, cooking up a storm. I think my life is stuck in an infinite loop kind of like the movie Groundhog Day....thank GOD for good times and the cruise!
Safe travels everyone! Happy Thanksgiving! GO Lions! GO Kid!
The holidays always bring
The holidays always bring sentimental reflection of family and friends... something I'm very thankful for. I'm keeping it simple. My husband invited his father over which he can't eat anything because he's on a feeding tube using that awful ensure stuff. He don't even want to do them... so now there's a pump to pump it in automatically. I have a half frozen turkey in the fridge to make... I usually try to make soft pumpkin choc chip cookies and distribute them out to friends, family, and coworkers.. I have the stuff to do it... but didn't do it yet. I usually go all out... brine a turkey for a day prior to Thanksgiving.. homemade apple crumb pie... cornbread sage sausage stuffing.. pumpkin bread and turkey with a side of asparagus. Not gonna go thru all that this year.. but will have a drink or two with my hubby after he gets done from work tonight and enjoy our time together. Happy Thanksgiving everybody !!
Yeah i got some of that to do
Yeah i got some of that to do between reading and getting recalls done on the SUV. My work never ends! God can mid December ever get here...then i think i will get to breath again & maybe have a minute that isn't totally consumed with school, work, responsibilities etc. Would be a great time to have Kid drop a great Christmas present in all our laps by announcing tour dates! Gonna have a nice Southern Thanksgiving and probably more food then i have ate all week in one day!
BTW your new music is great to have on the iPod to drop while walking the treadmill & getting in better shape. Makes it a lot easier to walk that half hour & get healthier between neverending nursing book chapters!
First read this and thought I
First read this and thought I was in an alternate universe, sounded like Thanksgiving already happened. But looked at the dates and figured it out. This year, 2012, we will be traveling to KY for a Thanksgiving feast, by a fine cook, my sister-in-law, Mary. We will be making appetizers. Hammy Sammy's, love them, hope my family likes them. Happiest of Thanksgivings to each and every one on here!
Bringing back memories..So
Bringing back memories..So who's doing what this year?? I'm lucky enough to be going to my Moms out in the country, been a while since I've been home, can't wait..There's just something about having my moms cooking, the country air and being in my child-hood home that does good thiongs for my soul, my Grand-Parents are so very very missed but it's still a good feeling to be there..
Happy Early Gobble Gobble day everyone-stay safe and enjoy the ones your with....
Triple L Blessings~
Thank you Ladies, for sharing your Lives, Families, Friendships, Triumphs and 'Dishes' here over the past several days...I had many smiles and a few tears. But Memories are Good Things:))) I'm Thankful to Feel the JOY you and your Husbands & children, know throughout Thanksgiving :) I'm also Thankful, God shared my husband with me, for many years, and we have Lovely and CRAZY Children!!! ~ peace ~ and did i say Thank You:) God Bless you all, REAL GOOD !!! ,-)
Oh yeah, I feel so much better since this morning...doesn't feel like I'm swallowing shards of broken glass anymore! Yeah, I couldn't wait to get into my pj's, I was like ah...nothing better = )
and I'm already in my pj's as well-LOL
You feeling better Margo (and Val, too)?
Ours is all done too, my husband did a fine job btw, I had to step outta the kitchen a few times cause I'm a control freak, but it was all good. Everything's cleaned up, now in my pj's in a food coma...
See, RSMS you brought it 'round to Kid in the end. lol. We are done as well. watching rerun of the CMA awards. Feel like I cooked and washed pots 'n pans all day...oh, wait a minute, I did. It was worth it. I love Thanksgiving and all the left overs. No cooking for a couple of days :) Thanks for your thread. I felt like I shared the holiday with you all. Peaceful night to everyone.
Dinner went off without a hitch. My company has left and my wonderful husband is doing the clean up. I showed the Care video to my sisters and their kids. I told them Lila's story (I am wearing my KR 40 Lions jersey, btw). My sister made a "Care" comment and watched it go up on the site's Care brick wall. I told everyone about Kid's tour and how he is helping people. They all thought it was cool. My parents visited and had a nice time. I have to quote Kid here, "It's all good..."
Hope you all had a memorable Thanksgiving, too :)
Have a Blessed and Safe Thanksgiving, Everyone!!! :))) ~ Peace ~
(~ There's Always a direct connection, he just doesn't always respond, or
the way you would expect :) ... 'go figure' ~ :)
ps ... so if the Lions and 'The Pack' split the 'Wins' will that work?~Best I can Hope 4 :)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL THE KRC MEMBERS OUT THERE, HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY AND GOD BLESS!!! :)
It's 12:30 a.m. HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Did all that I could tonight. I'm heading to bed. Bird needs to be in the oven by 7 a.m. (we eat at lunchtime cuz everyone has other family commitments later in the day). GO LIONS btw.
He hee Margo, I guess this is how we get out of cooking! (not fun, tho) Everyone have a wonderful day tomorrow :)
Val and Margo-feel better and let everyone take care of YOU. Turkey soup?
Val, CC plays Detroit Cass Tech which is located right down the street from Ford Field so they should have a HUGE crowd. I think Cass only allowed 3 points scored against them in the playoffs so it should be a phenomenal game.
KRLO: been there, done that (kids' bathroom). Thank God for Lysol. I always threaten my kids in the summer with, "If I hear one person say they are bored, they will have to scrub a bathroom!"
Margo, my boys, (young men) are 22 and 20 and they still miss the mark!! I gotta face it my kids are slobs. My daughter puts makeup on and gets it everywhere. Anyway have a great Thanksgiving and get some sleep!!!
Margo, at least you still have you're sense of humor...feel better :) Val, you take care too!
Thanks KRLO. @ KRCVAL bummer you're sick too...I believe I'll be owing my husband too, though he's avoiding me like I have the plague right now! @ KRLO I feel ya on the bathroom situation, I got 2 young boys that still can't seem to make the mark, their bathroom is disgusting at times...I'm like why is there pee on the trash can? the walls? I swear their little wiener's are like a fire hose, sigh...
Get better Margo, and KRCVAL, strep wipes me completely out. Now I have a favor to ask. I got all the prep done today that I can, I am about to venture into my kids bathroom and clean it. AHHHHHHH, I am scared, very scared, please, If I am not heard from in a week, send out the HazMat guys. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! Hope everyone is fat and happy tomorrow.
RSMS..I should know this and could find out by googling, but are they playing Nouvel, a high school by me?
And JB..thanks for the tip on Glen's in Gaylord..Zehnder's here does a great job, but has to be ordered in advance and picked up on Thxgiving day..
I am so sick with a cold right now that I have decided to wait and go up tomorrow with daughter and dogs.. Hubby has to get dinner started on his own with son (guess I will owe him SOMETHING lol)
