Once upon a time, a Kid Rock show in Detroit was something all my people wanted to go to. It was the cool thing to do, the cool place to be, a good time for all. Now my mom wants to go, my aunt calls for tickets, and my teachers from High School frequent the shows. Once upon a time, he was a devil without a cause, now he is all religous during his shows, making me feel as if he is a zealot without a cause. The lyrics and content used to be on the edge, its what made him who he is, now its pathetic and same ole same ole. Why do I hold on?
So true...When my youngest son was in 5th grade on wensdays the two 5th grade classes would meet in the Auidatorium and pair up for Ballroom dancing...One wendsday morning as I was dropping him off for school he stated "I hope I get Pearla today, I like her blubber its soft" hahahahha yep I guess he's gonna be a fella that like's the biggins. AS for me I like big fella's but the slinder ones do it for me
Sometimes when I tell people I am going to see Kid Rock, they laugh... We have seen him 4 times this year and my neighbor asked me "Is he really THAT good?" I said "ABSOLUTELY!!! He puts on the best show of anyone I have ever seen!". It is almost like it is a joke to be a fan but I think the laugh is on them... they don't know what they are missing!
I agree RBspearman. I do occasionally hear him on the country stations and honestly I hear him played more in Northern Michigan than down state. He doesn't get enough credit for his talent and business sense. (or that BIG heart of his)!!!
They probably chose to air it because no one wants to give Kid Rock the respect he deserves as a true artist. Almost anyone can spit out the garbage on the radio today... I think it sucks that he still doesn't get any radio time even when his songs are radio friendly and send a true message. I have yet to hear Care on the radio...but maybe I am not listening to the right stations.
It was unfortunate that was the clip they chose. He probably didn't see who he was speaking to and was trying to be funny. My opinion...I don't think he cares what you look like. He will tease and jab and love on anyone. I can cut him some slack because of all he does. My question is... why did they choose that piece to air??
