I saw someone requesting Kid do a remake of some old country songs on another thread and it got me thinking. I wonder if he will choose a setlist with a few suggestions or something from fans??? Yeah i know he is gonna have to do a lot of songs just because they are so loved by fans and were singles and such, but i am a person that on almost every album i find a song or two that i call a nugget. After Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. I read Walk this Way and Steven talks about it.
Anywho. I wonder if perhaps we could request a song or something. Whether it be by a poll or just commenting on this thread and saying the date you will see him @. I will be @ Nashville and would love to hear a few odd favorites like: THe Midwest Fall, Slow My Roll, When It Rains, Cocky....Yeah i know that isn't one. What can i say i like a lot of his music. That Midwest Fall is special though....i don't think you will ever hear it on radio and it is a damn shame...Now would be the perfect time to throw it out there as a single or hell even next fall....
Anyway post up and have your vote be counted here @ Kid Rock Country!!! Also wouldn't it be killer to see Shit Storm tour tees...and forgive me but i am a cheap ass for $20-$25 while this tour was going on??? AND if you do that don't forget about us folks who have lots to love size wise!!!
But i got no reservations if i am lucky enough to meet Rock great, if not i will have seen a great show and had a good time. Maybe once in a lifetime? And if i get close enough to even see the purple paint @ Tootsie's i think that will be something. I count myself lucky, i should get to see a great show, be on the Nashvegas strip on a legendary night and hopefully keep my ass outta Nashvegas jail!
All i can say is Nashville is gonna be crazy that night. Would love to meet Rock myself, but i probably don't got a chance. Had a feeling when i went and seen Seger @ Bridgestone he would be there...But i will be one of thousands on the shut down Tootsie's strip ya know? Who is to say he won't dart straight out from the show into the back door of Tootsie's or go pre-show??? Who is to say he won't go before his show while Ty Stone is on and make an appearance @ Tootsie's. Who is to say he won't come out the back door and meet the fans by the bus and all that then go to Tootsie's since it is such a small scale tour and more for charity and the fans....
I know my ass is gonna have a hotel room and i am looking @ ones less then a mile away. I figure who knows what shape i will be in @ any given time on that night. I wanna have fun but not get stupid. And i would prefer to be in walking distance so i can not have to park in that fucking mess for one and for two to have somewhere i can crash without having to drive and take chances. I don't want to do the taxi thing as i am sure that will be a nightmare too...I like to travel quick and light. Camera, coat and other essentials and fuck the rest...I be damned if i will drag my big ass purse around that night....I will bring my song book but won't carry it on me. I figure i might try to take a couple of cd booklets of his. Probably shit like that and maybe rip a nice poster (they usually @ most events have a few on the walls can't remember if they do that @ Ryman or not. Many times fans take them or if you ask they will let you have them) of the event off or buy one just in case...But i don't wanna get in shit @ Ryman so i will play it close to the vest. They are real nice there you don't want to be disrespectful or rude and get banned.
I know it is being called the Care tour. I just remember him saying he would create a Shit Storm in each small place he went. I thought man that would be an awesome thing to call the tour...well at least for ppl who follow Kid close like here...We would get the joke. The general public, maybe not so much....
I catch shit like that he says just like in an old video interview he did he was" i can't change the world and make things fair". HE was talking i believe about how kids are gonna do this and that and he ain't responsible for it yada. If I'm fortunate enough to get tickets to the Detroit show, I'd love to hear Dark & Grey, Prodigal Son, Run Off to LA, Baby Come Home & Hillbilly Stomp. Midwest Fall is a great song Ajay, it has a Seger kinda sound to me, which I like. I like the "Shit Storm Tour" idea for a t-shirt! What's up with the sizing for the tees... I have 2 shirts that I bought on the RNRJ tour that I'll only wear at home 'cause they're too damn tight....now I know better, I go up at least 2 sizes when buying their shirts.
yeh true he has so much stuff in different syles i wonder if he has a standard set for a tour or he is like me and just gets in a real southern rock mood or a hip hop mood or heavy shit and just puts in whateva he feels like on the night, its guna be a weird crowd for me caus im used to heavy metal crowds and pits so no idea what to expect at kid rock
Purple Sky and God Bless Saturday Night are great songs too. I guess because i have nearly wore them out playing them i don't think about them as much...Only God Knows Why is great too.

Yeah we was @ work talking last night and one of the other over night ppl was there and i was like yeah by how the old rotation was i supposed to be off. And i was like yeah i had to put a ticket to a sold out show on ebay and whatnot. The the other overnight person was like dummy why didn't ask me? It will get me outta seeing such and such and i would rather have this date or this date off. I chose to ask off for the first date. SO when they schedule her i will be available and take her work date. I mean who woulda thunk that she would give up a Thanksgiving ya know??? But i did help her get a day covered for around her vacation time, so maybe a good deed does go unpunished and gets paid back ya know??

I like Blue Jeans too. I love Roll On and The Midwest Fall too. God there just is so many songs i really love of his. But i mean the ones that are great that i feel never really got justice and to be heard as much as they should be.
Honestly like i say i feel blessed to even get to be there and i guess it don't really matter what he plays i am sure it will be a great show. And i thank god and all the ppl who helped and whatnot so i could get to go...
